Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had a list of available Scuderia options and relative cost? Im sure someone does but im finding it hard to locate, trying to separate the high option cars from the low options cars and really deciding what would be important to me if i purchased one of these. Also, damn the scuderia! I was all said on a sub 150k car, with challenge rear grill, carbon ceramics, carbon upgrades, etc. Then i started researching the scuderia and i can not bring myself to pickup a f430 now. Looks like im going to hold off for 4-6months on the purchase to save a little more money. Any f430 couple is a beauty, im not debating that, i just know myself and if i picked up the f430 i would surely not be happy and constantly thinking of the scuderia. Those who have one u truly are a lucky bunch and are driving one of the most amazing ferrari's ever produced! Thanks for help! -SE

The day before I bought my Scuderia, I was decided on a 2005 F430 with CCB, carbon seats, low miles, black interior. When I started to put together the upgrades needed to make it lighter (a F430 Coupe with full gas is close to 3,400 lbs), I could not believe the $100k+ on parts needed, at that point a Scuderia made sense. You have 250 cars in 2008, and less than 90 in 2009 (latest info I have is 67 2009 cars). Not every owner is selling, but there are plenty of cars for sale.
Radio with CD player, Bluetooth, and Navigation is standard. Stereo Delete (10.5 lbs weight reduction) is a N/C option.
So the carbon exterior rear...what this include? Most, if not all, the scuds i have seen have the engine bay laced in beautiful carbon. I would assume this is not the exterior rear, Secondly the carbon door under panel, this carbon door sills are standard, so could u please explain this also. Any added weight reduction with either of these? Also just to clarify a scud with full gas is around 3180 lbs? How many gallons does she hold again? Anyone with scuds, private sales, please email me [email protected] Thanks!
See below, courtesy of Bill S from the Super Ferraris discussion, Scud weighs 3,137 full of gas (25.1 gals), with no radio or fire extinguisher, but with US CF pkg http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=986898&stc=1&d=1249450513
The Carbon Fiber Exterior, Rear (CEXR) is the option for the engine lid in Carbon, with Lexan Window and Carbon support frames. The standard part is an aluminum engine lid, with Lexan Window and Carbon support frames. Weight savings (my estimate) under 10 lbs, probably around 8 lbs, the stock part is already pretty light. The Carbon Fiber Exterior, Underdoor (CEXS) is the option for the rocker panels in Carbon, the stock part is FRP. My guess is another 10 lbs of weight reduction, based on the size of the two stock pieces, and the weight savings between FRP and Carbon parts. All the Scuderias have Carbon door sills, carbon engine side panels, carbon air boxes, carbon valve covers and carbon coolant reservoir cover. Late 2008 and all the 2009 have the options CEXD and CEXF as standard equipment. CEXD is the large (and heavy) rear diffuser. CEXF is a combination of the front spoiler in Carbon and the headlight housings in Carbon (they look great). These two options combined make the car 22 lbs lighter, using the weight information from two cars (actual digital scales weight) without the carbon package, and my car (it has the carbon package), plus/minus options. The heaviest Scuderia you can configure weighs 3,178 lbs with a full tank of fuel (early 2008 car with radio and fire extinguisher), keep in mind that the car carries 158 lbs of fuel (25.1 gallons). For quicker acceleration, you may choose to run low on fuel (watch a F1 race and you will see the effect of losing fuel on lap times). The lightest Scuderia you can configure weighs 3,109 lbs with a full tank of fuel, 3,083 lbs if you remove the tools and run an empty windshield washer reservoir (-26 lbs), 2,925 lbs with no fuel. My car currently weighs 2,963 lbs with no fuel.
So it appears that a Scuderia optimized for performance/price would have: CF exterior rear (CEXR) CF exterior under (CEXS) Radio Delete (option code?) and no other options. Any way to determine how many Scuds were sold in the US with this configuration? Anybody ever seen any Scuds done this way?
You might add alcantara to your list. According to Lamborghini, alcantara interior weighs 50% less than leather. I don't know what Ferrari would say about weight.
The owner of my dealership has his scud with the engine lid in carbon and looks great! also cf rockers.
According to the list, alcantara and leather are both options. Isn't the stock interior done in fabric and alcantara already? Having had alcantara seats before, I won't do that again, anyway.
bumping old thread but looking at the spec list from one of the scuderias i'm looking to buy and I see option BONC REAR BONNET IN CARBON FIBER This is an 09 Scuderia with US Package, any idea what the above option is?
This is the factory carbon fibre rear deck on my car. Inside has been re-finished as OEM standard is pretty average. The outside is painted body colour on mine; but I have seen them unpainted, clear coated cf finish as well. As an aside I have just had a matching carbon fibre front hood made for mine. No idea what the weight saving is as I haven't weighed it; but I wouldn't expect it to be huge. The pics were taken before the body colour and stripe was painted on the outside. I also did front and rear bars for weight savings. Again, no paint yet; but the cf panels not in undercoat will remain unpainted. Very interesting. What is the part on the floor with your reflection showing in the pic? And where can you source any of these c.f. parts from?
The part with the reflection is the centre section of the front bar. The c/f section you can see is where the front aero splitter mounts in the centre of the bar. My car also has the OEM carbon fibre front aero splitter so the bare c/f section now matches that nicely. It was silver in the OEM bar. The rear deck is OEM Ferrari. I had all the other bits made locally myself. The supplier made moulds from the standard parts on the car and then produced the c/f parts from those moulds. It has been a long, slow and tedious process. If I had realised how long and tedious it was going to be I wouldn't have bothered. The rear deck lid in carbon is so sick. Anyone have any ideas where to buy the side skirts in carbon? Would love to get a set on my car.
OEM Ferrari are about $12k for the skirts. MA Carbon do a nice set for $7500 or so ? OEM rear deck is Mega $$$$$ Price depends on gouge in local market. I was quoted $42k !! More realistic dealer price is probably about $30k through spares? You can do better these days I imagine with such a poor economy. There has been a badly damaged OEM rear deck on German eBay for 12 months. It could be bought cheaply but would require a lot of expense with a cf specialist to bring it back to life. As I mentioned, OEM standard of finish on the underside of the deck is very poor. Mine is pictured after it was refinished.
