1928 Mercedes S Saoutchik bodied roadster. Sorry my description isn't spot on but that will put you in the ballpark.

3 other finalists for Best in Show were Duesenberg roadster, Duesenberg sedan, 1933 Alfa Rome 6C 1750 Figoni coupe Grand Sport.

Correct, and we've updated the story with the following addition:

Best of Show was awarded to the 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo owned by Paul and Judy Andrews. The winning car, powered by a 6.8-liter supercharged engine, is one of seven Torpedo bodies designed by Jacques Saoutchik for the Mercedes-Benz 680S chassis. It was originally shown at the 1928 New York Auto Show.

What were the class winners? They are not on the Pebble Beach Concours website.

Not certain, but it sure looked like Paul Russell was behind the wheel at one point.

Award winner is the 1958 silver/red closed headlight car owned by Peter McCoy, with Swedish first owner = 0903GT for me.

Original color combination of 0903GT is red with a dark blue noseband.

This is not 1385GT which is with open headlights...and has not been seen since I sold it.
But Peter MC chose a color combination relatively close,,,because he liked it, as he told me yesterday. And you are correct original colors where Swedish ones.
Notably however the red color of his car is not as dark as the red of 1385GT when HK restored it.
