Over the last three days, an event that is billed to be the most exclusive motoring event in the UK was held in the grounds of Syon House, the London home of His Grace The 12th Duke of Northumberland.

Beneath the blue skies, the organisers had arranged for some rare and unique motor cars to be present including a large number of Mercedes Benz 300 SL (60th Anniversary), 14 Ferrari F40s (25th Anniversary) a stunning selection of early Grand Prix Bugattis and Gulf liveried endurance racers.

I was very fortunate to be invited to this event and here I share with you some images from today.

It was not wearing any plates and there was no tax disc present.
The programme listed the car as being displayed by Touring (the car's builder) whereas the placard alongside the car stated 'Entrant: Private Owner'.
I would therefore guess this specific car had been sold since the programmes being printed and the event.
It was LHD so probably not a UK client.

    Thanks Matthew. :D

That's a much more attractive design than the Apollo - I never would have guessed it was the same maker. Gumpert seem to be doing very well then. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I hope they made it more spacious inside than the Apollo ! They may be able to fit more people in for test drives :)

Yes, now beautifully restored. It was looking a bit tired when Evans bought it in 2008 but looks really sharp now.

I saw it at Goodwood FOS after he bought it, and agree it looked a bit tired. Nice to see it with it's front bumper back on as well.

Was invited by them (Carozzeria Touring, that is) to Salon Prive, and if I remember well there was a mention of them displaying the Bentley Shooting brake. I think that, instead making so many etudes de style (studies of style, design... pardon my french) they would have made affordable coachbuilding that would be fantastic. On the other side, I have absolutely no idea about how is this business like. All I can say, from a client perspective, a Quattroporte station wagon for 50k euro extra is a fantastic idea.

Fantastic pictures of the Gulf Cars, I also could see an Iso Grifo in the background of one picture. :)
