    Can any of you guys recommend an artist in the UK? I really would like someone to paint/photogragh my black 458 (black wheels)

    Looking for something different, if you know someone please let me know.

    I would put a photo up on this post, but unsure how to do it? I'm happy to email photos.

    I would recommend Miha. He is an amazing artist.
    Does not live in the UK but in Slovenia I think.

    He did an fantastic drawing of my black 430 five or so years ago.
    I think he did it with colored pencils.

    Miha is a member of fchat and you can reach him by PM.
    Send him several photos by email of your car and he can do something incredible for you.

    He sent me the final drawing in a mailing tube to the USA.
    I wire transferred the payment to him. Worked well.

    When I took the drawing to the frame shop to get it framed, the workers there raved about the reflections in the car's paint.
    They said the detail in the artwork was remarkable.

    I have now spoken to Mike Smith at photocar.co.uk and he's agreed to fly out to Switzerland where I live to do the shoot. I've also emailed Miha and asked him if he would paint from the photo Mike Smith does for me. I hope he agrees?

    Ok granted (forgive the pun!) he may not be able to do a photo shoot due to geographics (but doesn't hurt to ask) but he definitely is a fine artist....his licence plate and username on FChat is ferrariartist

    Thank for you links and images I'm amazed how talented some people are. Miha has now contacted me and I have commission him to create a painting of my 458 from a photo shoot that Mike Smith (photocar) is doing for me on 25th September.

    I do intend to commission other artist later this year, so thank you again for the links.

    Commissioning artists is a noble way to spend money, there's not nearly enough of it.........good for you.

    Once you get the pictures back from the shoot, feel free too pop some my way (i can private message you my email?), I would love to do a painting of your 458 (oil on canvas).

    If you don't like the end result you don't have to take them, but i would be happy to give it a go. ;)

    Thank you Chicko - I have replied along with a couple of recent photos of my car - I would put them up on this thread but have no idea how to do it?

    My favorite is Dan McCrary, a local artist we have here in Charlotte, NC in the USA. Below are just a few examples. He is AMAZING at painting reflections as well as glass and chrome. He can do very stylized images as well as straightforward views such as Miha in the previous posts. My wife and I own the original of the F40 as well as many of his prints. I am including some images of other style of cars to show his diversity.

    He has a great website, but it was recently hacked so he is diligently working to get it back up. You can still what is already up at www.dmccraryart.com. To see many more of his images, simply Google "Dan McCrary Art" and click "images".
