I would love some input on color selection for a '67 S1 OTS restoration. The car is being stripped to bare metal and I can make it any color I'd like. While there are many great options, I have narrowed it down to 4. Would appreciate opinions, including anyone who has lived with any of the colors or has some thoughts about living with the various colors - good or bad.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

Opalescent Dark Blue with red int/ navy top (not sure that this was a '67 ext color option)

I'm liking the silver blue/blue and gunmetal/red combos quite a bit.

either of the blues are great. I'd probably go with the dark blue if it were my car, maybe with a red top to match the interior?

Definitely not Primrose. Gunmetal and Dark Blue look good in my eyes.

Red with black/black, although I don't know if the car was originally red. I was surprised to learn that the original color scheme does not show up on the production plate so there is no need to be true to the original colors on the car.

Opalescent light blue. Had one once and regret selling it now. I have a red/black OTS series 2 now but still miss the blue car

I'm partial to the opalescent light blue, but that didn't come with the red interior, which is my interior favorite. Not sure if i want to design the car from the inside out or not.

    I like gunmetal/red and black/red.

I've owned a roadster in white/red and it was great, will definitely have another red interior car!!

the dark blue/red would be my choice. with black top.

^ i believe the black everlast vinyl top was series 2, not series 1. i think i would go with a black cloth top.

I agree that black-red is fabulous. For me, I think that the darker hues hide the lines too much on what is a fabulous design. For this reason I'm inclined to go lighter in color and why I think I'm focusing on the opalescent options. The gun metal might even be too dark for me.

I did learn that while opalescent dark blue was discontinued as a standard color after '64, it could have been ordered from the factory in '67 so it is a legit option for me.
