I put my 13 italia on a scale and it weights @1460 kg~3.212 lbs w/approx 15 L. of fuel (with 10 kg accurace of the scale)
So with the full tank it weights just above 1500 kg as I predicted. That 1598 kg car is too heavy.

!!!Finally nice to read a post that's got it right instead of all the empty heads who have chimed in the 458 is great, who cares about weight. Anybody who tracks their car (exclude 85 % of the 458 puff owners please) knows "weight is the enemy". Did you consider the rolling weight effect differences of the sport vs. stock wheels on the 458 when you ordered your car? It's about 240lbs more the engine has to move with the stock wheels. If you have one with standard wheels, pls. don't claim the 458 does 0-60 in 3 seconds as reported by R&T or even a 7.38 time around the Nuremburg. Do you have electric seats (weighty motors) and a 35lb stock battery. Then be prepared to be passed on the track by a 458 without, etc., etc. Weight is super important, morsoe than all the hyped ECU tweeks and 100 cell cat gains. etc.
