I had to drop one kid off a wrestling practice between uploads and had chance to visit the winter crowd at Cars and Coffee. There was attendance reflecting the degree of niceness in the exceptionally warm and dry day this was for a Portland December. -sc

I'm impressed. You guys down south never stop, even for a bit of rain. Nicely done!

Don't know how many times I hear people ask, "When are you guys going to start up again?" And we always have to tell them its been none stop since 2008.

Going to have to bring Tessa (#71403) down one of these days. Long drive, but what the heck. Where is this usually located and what time - just for future reference, you understand. ;-)

First post in this thread has a good pile of the time and location details:

But the time frame has moved a bit. 8ish to 11ish in the back parking lot at:

Between March and September is when you get the best turnout. Until the rain started we had the lot 3/4 filled on a weekly basis. Let us know before hand when you thing you come down.

I checked the weather forecast noticed the amazing "NO RAIN" note and thought about putting the top down for a quick run to cars and coffee. The temperature sunk in though and at just above freezing my dad who was up to making the trip with me thanked me for leaving it up. Words were exchanged about old bones in the cold and winter but I let the exhaust note speak for me. I noticed 3 convertibles and two targas in attentance today suggesting some are waiting patiently for summer to return. Here are photos of the last 2012 Portland Cars and Coffee! We will start another bright brand new year next week. -sc

You're a much nicer son than I, my winter passengers had two options.... Bundle up or walk... the temp was not an indicator used to determine the top being up or down :)

Look forward to the pix for next year, and what was the gray Ford pick up doing there? Is Pandora down again or did the owner just whimp out?? :)

Don't be a hater. :) Pandora is under going a couple of engine mods during the winder break. Besides, it was a frosty morning and the Ranger has less glass area to scrape.

Summer tires and black ice were a sufficient combo to keep me from venturing out yesterday. Next weekend via the long range forecast (sunshine, lows in the upper 30's, highs in the low 50s) looks far more promising.

Yes, winter projects in full swing. Nothing major, at least it didn't start off that way.

It did not get above freezing today. Maybe the early crowd that ducked out as I arrived to go watch a movie in a hopefully warm room was wise. But, I did get to take pictures of a Volkwagen Transporter with over 300 hp to post. Not quite a Ferrari but cerainly unique. The freezing fog frosted some of the trees in the background as we chatted today. It may show in some of the photos.

I was actually there today, but didn't get there until 10:30 when most people had already left. I had a nice chat with the guy with the 968 convertible, however-- that's a nice car.

Drat, I got caught. I was weak and left before the unofficial closing of Cars and Coffee. BUT, I could not stand out in the cold any longer and figured I could thaw out at home while encouraging my 15 year old to get his algebra done. This also suggests those who want to avoid me posting their cars' pictures here may figure out the secret of getting in and out either really early or late.

That 968 is a nice example of a well kept and used exotic.
