What is the NBC network channel on DirectTV that will have F1 this year?
How about "Dish" network? I will miss Speed coverage, especially when they used to actually fly in to the races.
Thank you for writing. I understand your query about the NBC Universal channel. It is part of our DIRECTV HD EXTRA PACK on channel 564. The DIRECTV HD EXTRA PACK includes specialized networks that are available in HD only and designed to enhance your HD viewing experience. This includes HDNet Movies, MGM HD, Palladia, Smithsonian HD, Crime and Investigation, Hallmark Movie Channel, Sony Movie Channel, Universal HD, and ShortsHD. These channels are not part of any other package and are exclusively in High Definition for only $4.99 a month. Sincerely, Manolito L - 100315270 DIRECTV Customer Service ***** Hope this helps. Joe
On U-Verse it's channel 1640. But still no listing in the guide to set up recording. I'm going to call today.
Universal HD and NBC Sports are 2 different channels. NBC Sports is on channel 220 (it used to be VS on channel 603) and you DO NOT need the extra HD channel pack to get it. You DO need the XTRA package or higher to get it though.

According to some articles, they'll be streaming on their web site, too -- but it uses Silverlight. Remember that, on Dish, there are *two* channel 159s: HD and SD. I am a bit concerned, also, as some Indycar races, when they went overtime, were bumped onto ESPN3, which Dish doesn't have. I don't know if NBC Sports would do the same, now that NBC is running the channel.
