Cap 3, Hyperflows/Straights, Fabspeed/Tubi headers = Amazingness. No kidding!! It's worth it to buy a Cap new.

This thread is a lot like arguing which supermodel would be better in bed.

They all sound pretty awesome. :)

I have the Maranello X-ost on mine and have yet to have anyone say they have heard a better sounding Ferrari.

I also have Hyperflow cats. Which for a 355 is almost a given at this point.

I traded it for a set of challenge wheels.

What about Nouvalari, Fabspeed? That $4k for the Cappy plus the cost of straight pipes is hard to swallow.

The Nouvalari is hard to beat for the money, the build quality and customer service is there. Cost including shipping was around 1600$ for me. The high pitch scream is outstanding and low revs deep tones with valve closed also sounds pretty great.

Capristo is about the same except the high pitch is a little more high pitched which is more F1- like but not by much.

I think the main difference is when idling or at low revs. Capristo has figured out a way to keep the exhaust quiet when it needs to be and super loud when it needs it. The range of volume is the biggest by far of all the exhaust options which makes it the most desirable and most expensive. For me, it wasn't worth spending 4k but that's just me.

My Nouvalari is great and I love it. The main negative about it is that it's loud all the time (even at idle). A full day outing totally burns you out and guarantees a headache when you get home (especially driving with the top open). Gotta take the bad with the good I guess...

It boils down to whether you want to go fast or to sound fast. I noticed zero performance change when going back to the stock exhaust, but I know the tires I can run on the extra set of rims are worth a few seconds on a track. I'd rather be fast than sound fast and $4k can go a long way towards actually making your car faster instead of just sounding the part. If you can afford both then go for it as it does remove a little weight - maybe 15-20lbs.

I'm looking forward to meeting up with someone to compare sounds. I've only got a custom pipe arrangement and no muffler and it sound killer, just killer!

I have a Capristo Twin Sound on my 355 2.7 and would like to exchange it with a Tubi possibly. Even if the Capristo sounds great and effectively gives 20bhp more on the dyno I would like to try the Tubi...

Anyone interested in the deal ? :)

Every time I drive my 355F1 with the cappy 3 it totally confirms the choice and expense. The only other change that made as big of an impact was going to black 360 starfish wheels. Love the car as it is now!
