Non original though. Don't like the bonnet gap nor the paint, see uneven reflection on door and front and back panel indicates panels were not fully aligned when the paint job was done. As a result you don't have a continuous line on reflection. This is basic 101 for Pebble Beach paint job quality, continuous reflections.
I've seen pictures of other GTEs with bonnet scoops and have read that a few of them left the factory so equipped? From Hexagon Classics' description, they've applied for Classiche Certification for this car, and although I can't speak for them, I'm sure they'd have corrrected the bonnet, or would do so, if it turned out to be non original for the certificate to be granted?
I have received further information on the 250 TR replica here in Brazil. Apparently the car was built in Holland in the 90's from a 250GT Boano. Still looking for more info. I have found a few more pics too: http://img160.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=11032_DSC08471_122_1005lo.JPG http://img138.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=11021_DSC08356_122_1192lo.JPG http://img126.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-8779/loc1018/11027_DSC08470_122_1018lo.JPG http://img111.imagevenue.com/aAfkjfp01fo1i-23855/loc727/28788_DSC_4956_122_727lo.jpg http://img150.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=07243_cc2007_035_122_1051lo.JPG# I'll keep digging. Hard to say I'm happy to hear it's not a GTE because another great car was destroyed so this could be made... And I don't think it looks good at all.
By the way, here's a GTE living in Brazil... Or at least it was in 09: Ferrari 250GTE | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Ferrari 250GTE | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Not my pics. From what I understand this is the same car, re-painted more recently. They might have added the S3 tail lights during the painting process, but I don't know. Found these on a forum where people don't really know what they are talking about: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/9433/250gte01.jpg DSCN 5774 (DSCN5774.JPG) - 15016725 - Free Image Hosting at TurboImageHost DSCN 5775 (DSCN5775.JPG) - 15016726 - Free Image Hosting at TurboImageHost DSCN 5779 (DSCN5779.JPG) - 15016728 - Free Image Hosting at TurboImageHost I don't know the S/N, sadly.
That would be 2685 GT. Sold into Brazil by Michael Sheehan in 2008. I believe the Series III taillights were added when the car was repainted, which I was fairly recently, as it was light blue when I last saw it.
Thanks for the info! I think the same thing, as the car has just recently turned into this darker shade of blue. Perhaps. Thanks for the info!
I have seen in Essen two GTE for sale in prices around 270 000. Seems that GTE is increasing in price in last decade..
Hello, this 250 GTE could be the last one remain in Vzla, 3609 GT originally was white, but we dont have any information about the serial number. [/IMG]
So is this car at a dealer? Do you know where is is or is this someone else's photo? This is a good find as the GTE Register has very little information on the cars that went to Venezuela.
