Anyone here going? (I am not showing the car this year but will be there having to have good time.)
I'll be there! I can't wait, not only is the MAF a great cause to support but they've also managed to put together one the best auto-related events in Colorado!
Tickets are still available! http://view.exacttarget.com/?j=fe6217727663047a7016&m=ff071672756004&ls=fde51376766c077b7217777d&l=fe6515757d6504797711&s=fdfb167074670075711d7377&jb=ffcf14&ju=fe21177877650d79701d75
That was close. The car I agreed to be with just and I mean just arrived from the UK. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was actually a P-63 King Cobra. This was the final evolution of the P-39 and a much better aircraft. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ronnie, I didn't have a camera at the event but there are sure to plenty of photos including those taken by John Waugh. I expect he will have them up on his site in a few days. Here is a snap of a few cars very early during set up. The green car in the background is Stearling Moss's Aston DB4GT. The air show was outstanding! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would say that album this has around half of the cars and planes - mostly vintage. https://plus.google.com/photos/104350762252059038261/albums/5916201114420663025?banner=pwa
That was a little crazy when the airport said hail was on the way in 45 minutes and we had to evacuate all the cars in hangers in the area. The cars weren't parked as nice the second time around but still looked great!
Yes, this great event is open to everyone. Entry was $150 this year - money goes to helping kids with cancer.
