Picked up my 1999 Modena 360 F1 this afternoon. Great drive home. Thanks to Steve at Sport Auto in Summerfield NC for his help and good advice. Received a tool kit and jack kit this morning that I purchased off eBay. Found the bracket behind the spare wheel where the jack kit is strapped and figured out that the straps around the spare wheel are for the tool kit. When I reversed the wheel so the inside was facing me the tool kit fit nicely into the center of the wheel. I have a CS flashed TCU coming from Eric in France so that should make the shifts really nice.
I met the previous owner who turned up in his wife's Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2. Boy does that sound nice. I think he's looking for a 458 Italia.

BTW where does the owners manual binder go? It's too bulky for the "glove" box.
Thanks for all the nice comments.

+1. I removed everything (tools. manual, tire inflator...etc) and kept them in the garage.
The only thing I carried around was the tow hook.

    Congrats!

Congratulations, I agree, very nice color. I have one of Eric's TCU's in my 1999, really transformed it with the original crap TCU.That first drive home was memorable for sure!.

Wow, great color combination. Saw one like that online years ago and still have the pictures. Not too many out there like that. If it were me, I'd just get the rear challenge grill and maybe upgrade the exhaust and keep the original wheels. Don't get me wrong, I love the challenge wheels but prefer to see them on an actual CS (I guess that makes me a "purist").

    Enjoy it!

Just 30 miles from the dealer. I went out this morning to fill it up and a guy at the next pump came over and asked what model and year it was. He said it was a great looking car and told me to enjoy it (which I certainly will).
As I was backing out of my garage and turning on full lock it felt as if I had a flat tire which I don't. Not having driven a car with such low profile tires before is this normal?
    Thanks
    Alan

Yes that is normal. If you are going very slow and turning the wheel sharply it feels funny.

Thanks Andy that makes me feel better. Still trying to get used to the clutch bite when backing out of my garage and then turning to go up the driveway. I am scared of giving it too much throttle and then have it bite and take off.
