If you like unique style plates, you should check out Verjus over by the Palais Royale. Get reservations.. it gets crowded. Dining is upstairs.. walk in for wine (they have craft beer too!) and alcohol is downstair.
Chop house in detroit is long gone, there is a new restaurant called the same, never been there. Maisonette in Cincinatti closed in 2005, a shame, it was a great restaurant, I went out of my way many times to go there. Malcolm
Went to Alinea last night. Superb meal and everything was on point. Having said that, in terms of restaurants in Chicago I would rank it third. 1. Schwa. 2. Next 3. Alinea Image Unavailable, Please Login
Until last months I would have said that the two best restaurants we have found were Taillvant in Paris and Per Se in New York but now after two stops there I have to add The Inn at Little Washington. In all most every way this comes close to being perfect....food, service, setting staff...Chef O'Connell does it right. What I find somewhat amazing is that he' s been doing it this way for over thirty years and it still right up there...Marc
French Laundry with 3 couples, celebrating some great friends' 25 wedding Anniversary. A great meal is usually due to the company that you keep. It doesn't hurt if you have 3 Michellin stars and 100 point wines as a backdrop!
How would you rank Charlie Trotter's? (Although it is closed now). My recent picks in Tokyo: Ginza Ukai-tei Sushi Kyubey
Hello all. You should come more to Spain. 3 of the top 10 restaurants in the world now are here, including number 1, El Celler de Can Roca, in Gerona. Booked there for november 23 rd, can t wait!!

Digging up a semi-old thread. I had dinner at The Herbfarm saturday night. Was "Super Cattle" theme. Pretty amazing meal paired with some tasty wines. Even had a taste of 2001 Chateau d'Yquem with the cheese course. Was a pretty amazing meal. I have eaten at great restaurants that are not super expensive. Love to hear about great places that are reasonable.
We definitely need some up dating on NYC and Fl restaurants. I have not been to either area lately. Hopefully, some locals who have gone to dinner recently will start. I know most that are here have good taste, but consistency is a key, so it would help to include how often you have been and the time period. I am looking forward to reading and eating soon. Thanks
Le Grand Prix (I think that's the name) Shoarma's in my home town Zandvoort (Holland). Tiny shop but their Shoarma's are the best I've ever had. De Kaashoek, also in Zandvoort. Best sandwiches ever, made in front of you with whatever you want, normally on a french bread. My mouth is already watering. Wilma & Albert, Haarlem. Renowned steak house close to Amsterdam. Been many years since I've been there but food was always fantastic. Mambo Beach Curacao. Just about everything is delicious there. Benihana's in Aruba. Sure it's a chain restaurant but it's a proper event. Awesome experience. Billy's bar in Sol de Ligogo, Mozambique. Unlikely anyone from here will ever go there but food is great, and you'll have an awesome time. Seared Tuna steak I had last day in Mozambique. It was caught just before we ordered. Just about as fresh as it gets really.
