I don't actually. Jump in, start, drive off. Come home, park in garage, turn engine off. Pour glass of red wine )
Oh, big deal. When you hit a million, then let us know. Congrats on enjoying that fantastic machine!!!
Awesome. Congrats on the mileage. Funny to say that 100k is impressive. But it's a cool none the less.
Stunning!!!! I searched the web for an appropriate "Brit" saying that would be appropriate for such an accomplishment but couldn't find one that was fitting. It is truly a wonderful thing you have done and had a grand time doing it. Keep enjoying that baby!!!!
Bebs, Thanks for the information, wish I could drive year round (360 is not good in the snow) Keep enjoying the car! You are my new hero at 100,000 miles Rick
GREAT post! Thanks for taking the time to put that together.... My only question is why do you have the timing belts done every year? Or is it only every year in which you drive say 15,000 miles in 12 months?
Well done, I got 62K miles on my Titan 550M, 11K miles on my Rosso 550M, 46K miles on Rosso 575M, 36K miles on Giallo F430, 19K miles on blue 456MGT, 2K miles on my silver 360 Challenge Race car... So now, I have approximately a total of 176K miles (286K KMs) driven on my 6 F-Cars... Still driving to get more and more numbers out them... Cheers Alex
I'm glad to hear that since there are F-owners that insist on idling their cars at least 5 minutes before driving it! Hence my question. But I do follow the owner's manual recommendation of not reving the engine over 4K RPM when cold.
This is great! Mine is only at 20k, but I'm driving it more, and it seems to do much better when driven regularly. How has the leather dash, and interior in general held up?
Actually very well. The seats were starting to look a little worn though, not badly but enough for me to do something about it. I was lucky to find a brand new spare set of original carbon seats from a dealer in London before they become popular.. picked them up for US$3000 set. None of the dash leather has peeled away, bubbled or anything of the sort. Mind you, this is London so we don't get that much sun and high temperatures and I suspect sitting in a garage unless driven helps as well. Also black is fairly easy to keep clean. The window switches started peeling a bit last year so I just rubbed them down and now they look new again. Will try to take some pics of the interior.
Very happy to see u drive your car, I've had mine over a year and put on about 5000km. I enjoy my car but I get worried that if I put too many km on then I won't be able to sell it(want to get a 430 within next 2 years). Everyone talks about drive it and enjoy it but I feel like when we want to upgrade we want a car with low km. I know the answer is a car stored is worse than a car driven but I ask if u had a choice would u buy a car with 80,000 or more km or would u want one with lowest km possible(assumption that all servicing is done). I think someone buying their first Ferrari would choose the latter, I know I would. I give props to the OP for enjoying his car, I try but it's always in the back of my mind.
Well if you think about it - why the hell shouldn't it make 160K or even 300K? The cars are great, they just need us to respect them with proper maintenance and they will respect us too.
