Well my 77 GTB (20927)left the driveway for the last time yesterday. It has gone to a good home back in the hills of Vermont from where it came. The new buyer along with Steven Markowski from RPM came down to get it and drive it home. So my Ferrari run of 14 years is over and now I will be moving on to a later old man sports car. Time for a convertible that both me and the bride can enjoy but most of all have room for 2 sets of golf clubs. It's been fun the I will never lose that Ferrari smile and sound. So I'll be stopping by the site occasionally but I suspect not as much as I do now. So enjoy your ride as you'll never forget it. Also thanks for all of the technical info as it was worthwhile for all of us who were new to Ferrari especially those of us who service our own cars. So now I'll be selling years of Forza and Callivino magazines . Good luck to all and thanks for the ride.

Hi Steve- I should've asked if you were on the forum before coming down yesterday! I've spent many hours reading through here for 'purchase preparation.'

The drive home is now a life-highlight for me. I'll post updates here on the forum, though there won't be much happening until the spring. Until then, here's a quick shot of the car in its new home. Thanks again & let me know if you're ever in the Green Mountains- always happy to go for a drive.

*pay no attention to the mess in front of the car. Getting the garage situated for winter....
*I am also excited to hear what you're getting into next- keep us posted.

I'm thinking about going back to my "rootes". Being a Jag guy at heart I'm thinking about a 2011-2012 Jaguar XKR convertible. You know something with Nav , AC , heated /cooled seats , CC and on . Also maybe 510HP. I loved my Ferrari but to go to a late model would most likely leave little to no inheritance to my kids , lol. But hey I'm also looking at Aston Martins too. lol. Time will tell as there is no rush with winter coming on. Oh I also need to be able to put 2 sets of golf clubs in whatever I get.

Steve - you'll be back... Being an owner of both Jags and Ferraris I found there is only one true answer. Move to Florida where you can use the cars all year long and then get a golf cart for the clubs..... Of course, an Aston Martin would be a nice addition....

Both amazing cars- I let go of a perfect 1982 Targa to make space for the 308. We actually just trailered it to its new home last night.

Steve, it was so nice to meet you at Lime Rock this summer! If I didn't already own my grey GTS, your car would've been high on my list of cars to own. It is obvious that you've taken good care of it, as well as enjoyed it.

And to the new owner in Vermont; Enjoy! These things are a blast!

Thanks and did you get that throttle cable fixed? It was fun and I tried to take care of the mistress. I know the new guardian will keep her in great shape.

Well Zach it must have been a sad smile but it will all change with a little trip with the new stable mate. All you need to do is start it up and listen to the exhaust note. There is nothing like it. Enjoy

Really, just a quick glance in the garage fully eliminates any second guessing or minor sense of regret.

Now I'm counting the days until spring...

Well here is it's replacement. It goes on the truck tomorrow with expected delivery of Wednesday. At least it's ITALIAN RACING RED . A cruiser for me and the misses. 510HP , 461Lb. Ft. and 6 sp ZF autobox. I'll be moving to the British site but will still share my 14 years of 308 experience over here . Cio

When you said you were going to get an older guys sports car with room for two sets of golf clubs, I was sure you'd end up in a Corvette. :) Nice choice with the Jaguar.
