The Porsche 962 is a street legal recreation built by Le Mans winner Vern Schuppan in
Australia. So it's not as though the guy is driving a full factory built racing 962 on the
streets in Japan, as he points out, the car as A/C, etc.

Having seen a couple of these Schuppan 962s, a root beer brown one at Brumos Porsche
in Jacksonville in the 90s and a black one at the Supercar Weekend event in West Palm
Beach must have been 2010, they are fantastic.

+1 , I liked that. The shot with ground zero in the background at the beginning was cool. The end was ironic though, talking safety and doing the most dangerous driving.

I'm still amazed that the Mazda 767B was the only Japanese prototype to win LeMans outright. Considering how formidable the Nissan 300ZX-GTP was in the day, and the resources of companies like Toyota, it's incredible that there wasn't more success for the Japanese teams.

    Very cool video.
