How about send the cards to Via Abetone Inferiore n. 4, I-41053 Maranello?
How about this....Either a banner or a big e-mail???? Side profile of a F1 car (rear tires kicking up some smoke aka showing speed) with the inscription inside it or below it saying. Michael Heres to a SPEEDY recovery and Joyus 2014 and beyond. The(put number of members here ie 2000)members of the FerrariChat community are all (rooting/pulling) for you. Forza Michael Schumacher
Pretty much what I've been trying to say for a while!.... A simple 'shutdown' of this site for no more than, say, 5 minutes, was what I was hoping for. Silence can indeed be golden in this context. Unfortunately, that didn't happen on his birthday, but we could still do it......
Can you just put that little picture in the top right under Ferrarichat? Leave it on there for a few days? Small and simple?
Given the length of convalescence from an injury like this I've no doubt that we'll far exceed that number.
I got it now. There are a few of my birthdays I don't remember much of and some I wish I didn't remember at all. Again the coma upside. Godspeed Michael.
But, not in any of the ones which really count --- France, Switzerland, Germany --- all in same Central European Time zone (GMT + 2 hr). It is HIS birthday after all ---- so I think it depends more on where HE is / HIS family are
Stupid picture...worthless...throw it in the trash. Happy Birthday Michael, Godspeed, I know you will overcome. Rob...please run the banner....
F1 Champion is a Global title that transcends Time Zones... it's still Jan 3rd in a lot of places, so let's see if we can get this thread over 1,000 posts before it's Jan 4th in the last of those. We're getting closer... everyone PM your F-Chat friends to post herein. We've only got 60 posts more to go!
+1 More significantly IMO, well over 50k views. A thousand comments? So what? Sorry, I remain disappointed 'we' couldn't organize a brief shutdown yesterday. The whole point being that would have got everyone's attention, at the same time, just for a few moments. That energy and thoughts, prayers, whatever, would have been something. Oh well, we tried. Cheers, Ian
This is why Military units have Captains, Colonels, Generals, etc. And why companies have Presidents/CEO's, and the like. It's nice to be able to let everyone collaborate & have some input, but it's also difficult to get anything actually accomplished "by committee" if there isn't a designated or acknowledged leader involved to steer & implement a given effort.
Yep! No argument from me there - 'democracy' failed us in this case unfortunately. Many tried their best, but seems it just took too long. It's still the 3rd here, so I'll add yet another 'best birthday wishes Michael' to the list. I've gotta say again that I do have a problem with 'happy birthday' though - we know it's not a happy one. Godspeed. Ian
This thread has become a very special "greeting card" for Michael from his FerrariChat family. To do anything more (a banner, special card, etc.) seems unnecessary. Anyone who has posted their prayers or greetings here can feel satisfied that their sentiments are available for him to read or for a close friend/family-member to read to him when the time is right. Whatever value our thoughts for him can have will happen if we believe in the value of prayer and the good wishes from his fans.
Hi Guys. Just a small update - I´ve just seen a short interview with Philippe Streiff (born in Grenoble). He was in Grenoble at the hospital and he told the reporters, "according to the doctors, Michael is still in critical condition, but not in mortal danger anymore". BTW, some members here think it´s a shame the F-Chat community missed Michael´s birthday. No worries guys - we all know his birthday. The unexpected situation is confusing for all of us, so there is no need to shame for anyone or anything. Just a few lines in the name of F-Chat and everything is fine. I saw that "lightshow" outside the hospital yesterday, beaming greetings onto the hospital wall. That´s nice, but IMHO, it´s way too much and more showmanship than honest words.
Very well said and I sincerely hope Michael gets to read this thread(greeting card) someday. Best wishes for a quick and complete recovery Michael. You are one of the greatest competitors the world of sports has ever seen and if anyone can beat this it surely is you!!! I'm a long time fan of Michael's, but I have never cheered for him harder than I am now. Michael, you can and will beat this!!!
