In case nobody mentioned it, there will be special awards for 275s in honor of the 50th anniversary of the car. Also, the breakfast at the Breakers was pretty expensive last year, $40+ per person.
The last time I attended, a bunch of us walked up to Cucina Dell'Arte and had a very nice lunch at a reasonable price. Some of the other places on Royal Poinciana are just as good. And while walking back to the hotel, an Enzo went by on the street!
What's a good arrival time to get there? Are the cars there pretty much all day or do they come in and out at the owner's discretion?
They are there from about 8:30 am when they set the field - cars lv about 4:00 pm Can't move the cars off the field before that
They have special parking for Ferraris but I think that is supposed to be for hotel guests - that said I have never seen anyone checking
The reason to bring your ferrari is to drive around Palm Beach in January with the windows open looking at the ocean!
Why worry about entrance fees and valet parking prices. i have to fly over from Europe to see Cavallino Classic. this year will be my 4th Cavallino and i will bring my wife and daughter with me and stay at the Breakers for the first time. No - i am not rich, but i can afford it. Cavallino is worth it! Even the private Ferrari parking is worth a visit. So many classic Ferrari there. That would be fair concorso-field anywhere else.
You are absolutely right, the Tifosi parking lot is a neat sight. I think I took that for granted when I parked there at the last Cavallino. I was so anxious to get to the show I didn't stop to "smell the roses."
Doug, are you coming? If so leave time for dinner with us. Leslie and I will be there for the whole thing I guess.
My first time at Cavallino tomorrow, looking forward to it. Anyone know if the lunch is included for the 100$ entrance fee or is that a separate charge?
Is the ink made of gold? Lol But seriously, what's the best option for lunch? After the entry fee, I'm thinking the pockets will be light and I should pack sandwiches... A friend told me lunch at the Breakers was 40$ but the event website says lunch buffet 50$. Is that the same lunch? If not, which one is better?
Don't eat at the Breakers. Take a walk to Poinciana and eat at Toojays. Lunch on the island is not great compared to what you get in West Palm or other places, but the Breakers is wayyy expensive for what you get. BT
