Here are a few from the "Before" period. I had to leave before the actual fun began and look forward to seeing those pics. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Due to bad video card with my Mac, I won't be able to upload my photos & videos until It gets back from repair. Great day, good to see everyone.
It was a hell of a lot of fun today. Nice to drive one of these cars with the purpose they were designed for and actually see what they are capable of. It was my first track day but most definitely NOT my only track day going forward. Steve, thanks for setting this event up. And it was nice to meet you as well.
GoPro video from my car at today's event! Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&feature=vm&video_id=YhjXzsp5d70
Great footage! I joined this forum hoping some more folks took photos and video from the event. I was in the white C63 Coupe. Caught a few of you on the gopro, which I'll finish uploading to youtube and post a link -- Always fun to see videos of yourself driving, so hopefully there are more.
Thank you to everyone who made it out Saturday and made it a fantastic event! I am already looking forward to the next one! S
the link doesn't seem to be working anymore ("no videos found")? anyway, I have to figure a way to upload videos and will post a couple of good harry's lap timer videos i got... got times, but a bit slow on the laps this time around... too afraid of even coming close to do any damage to those beautiful and expensive cars... Shawn has my pics and will be uploading them for he FCA once he collects them all.
Here's a short segment from the event. This was the only time I had any of you guys on my radar, hopefully someone recognizes themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sltW_UoamTQ
Anyone else having trouble viewing the footage? It still works from my computer when clicking on the link. Let me know if anyone else can't see it and I'll try to reload again.
I went directly to YouTube and pasted: YhjXzsp5d70 Worked like a champ with no sign-in required. Cheers.
I kept trying to hear the engine sing and got Green Day instead! Interesting that you were sharing the track with Subarus.
Yep, agreed. If I understand correctly, the event was co sponsored by the Boardwalk Ferrari and the local Mercedes dealership. Steve can elaborate on that. The Mercedes group had several car types participating. For the two track sessions, they had us divided up as guys who were completely new to tracking and those who had some experience. So depending on what group you fell into, there were other manufacturers cars on the track as well, but everyone on the track was part of the "track day". It was a ton of fun. Let me see if I can relink the video for those having issues.
Try this link guys and let me know if this works better. Sorry about the difficulty but for some reason, my recent uploads to YouTube have had some issues when copying the address. I'm not savvy enough to figure out the issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhjXzsp5d70
I don't think so but don't know for sure. I think he went right back out but with the more experienced group on the next session. The grass is mown very short and the off track areas seem to be clear of obstacles, ruts, and the like. Did anyone make contact with the guy flying the drone? I'd like to see that footage as well. Plenty of other cars with GoPros ... anyone have footage to share?
Great Video. Still odd to see $30K Subaru's out on track with $300K Ferraris but I have seen plenty of other odd ball combinations on track.
He posted a video over on dfwautoclub, not sure if it'll let me link to it from this forum but will try: Mercedes / Ferrari Club - MSR October 4th - DFW Auto Club Forums
here's one of my videos, as promised. first time uploading into youtube. also video starts a bit blurry due to focus and sunlight but gets corrected within a few seconds. good mix of cars and drivers even if it was just for a couple of mild sessions. Always good to play around Ferraris! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3U_acs9cmc
