    Well, seems I have the same problem as others. I've been lurking for a while (its amazing how much information you can get just by reading) but now I want to PM a member to get some quotes on parts in the for sale section, but alas no functionality.

    Hopefully a moderator will see this and turn it on for me.

    because by default it doesn't save a copy, you can change that under User CP.

    It may take two or three posts before your system-designated probationary period is up.

    Find a few discussions you want to participate in, make a few more posts, and you should be able to PM just fine.

    Correct me if I'm wrong...I believe Silver allows you to send e-mails through the Fchat platform...but any member can send PMs once they clear the initial "hurdle".
