Love the car and the spec. Congratulations!

Congrats Chad! I've driven a 12C (hard) and a P1 (gently) and have been blown away by everything McLaren is doing. I'll look forward to seeing this machine in the spring!
Congrats, that's a great colour for the 650, must admit having had a look at a 650S recently the quality does appear to be very good and the detailing is also good. A very nice car to complement the rest of your impressive collection.
That's a beauty Hawkeye, enjoy! I just got bitten by the Mclaren bug myself and picked up a 12C coupe. I'm very impressed all around. The performance and technology are remarkable.
I had the opportunity to drive a new 650S yesterday. What and amazing car. Very comfortable and easy to drive. The carbon work is gorgeous on the car as is the alcantara interior. You don't realize how low the car sits till you try and get out a driveway. The only thing that didn't feel amazing were the brakes. Just didn't have the bite I thought they'd have. Probably cause they are carbon ceramics and never got any heat through them. It's an incredibly built car. Enjoy Hawkeye.
As a possible 650s buyer I'd like to bump this thread. I would value reading about more experiences from owners, please. Thanks, Keith
I've had my 2012 12C for eight months and have put 5,000 miles on it so far. I REALLY like this car!!! The performance and technology are amazing.
I purchased a 12C about 3 months ago. I have been through a bunch of cars and have a 2014 GT3 sitting in the garage next to it. It is by far my favorite modern exotic I have owned. Handles like the GT3. Accelation is like my old GT40. Fit and finish is excellent. It also makes nice noise IMO. I am sure I will move to a 650 at some point. So happy I bought this as opposed to a 458.
I've had mine for 22Months and 23,000 smiles, without driving it from December through March. It is exciting to drive and extremely comfortable. On the Track, there are few Cars that can stay with it. Joe
I've had my 12c for four months or so. Most challenging thing I have found is coming up with excuses NOT to drive her. I've put 2K miles on her already, I take her everywhere. Far and away the best exotic car I have ever driven. In fact, I struggle to think of ways they could have improved it. I've sat in traffic for 5 hours in the simmering heat on the way to our beach house without complaint, I've barnstormed on tight back roads, gone on road trips on long anonymous highways...I've yet to find an area where she does not excel. I love the damn car...
Nice weekend this past weekend. Took McLaren to work and then the long way home. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love your car Hawkeye ! I have been eyeing the McLarens too -- may pull the trigger on one next year... Has ride height been as issue (speed bumps, ramps) or does it have a lifter mode?
