Richard, I'm considering a roll bar for my '85 QV. They have lots of "testing" days at the Spring Mountain track here in Vegas and I'd feel a lot better with a bar over my head. Let's keep this thread going!

Really?? They allow you on a track in Vegas with no roll bars? In California it is required for insurance purposes
It may be cheaper for me to track in Vegas than putting a roll bar!!

I suspect you bought the Holy Grail of tracking with a Mondial!!!!

Roll bars normally have four points attached to the chassis. Like a four legged table.

    You found two points.

I suspect the other two must be on the frame between the engine and rear seats, upper section. Can you check under the leather, close to the rest access plate?

Is it my imagination or the pictures appear to be of the same car? One set with the roll bars on and one set with the roll bars off. The foam residue on both pictures appear to have the same pattern.

If you bought the car that was on the track: can you ask the seller for the fate of the roll bars? I'm interested in them.

Not sure about the rear mounts of that roll bar. Not owning a cab here, but how thick is the firewall its mounted too?
