    And they dragged the bidding out on that one. I don't know any details on the car. During the commentary they never mentioned the mileage, condition, or any stories.

    $32k is a good price for parts value alone.

    Sold cheap. Rebuilt or not, parted out it's worth close to that or more.

    Or just as likely a POS with a ton of problems and needing an engine rebuild...only the new owner will really know.

    I have no idea why anyone would sell an FCar through Mecum or B-J. That clientele is made for American muscle and hot rods.

    A non-sorted example with a salvage title and a questionable history? Big roll of the dice.

    Part value being as high or higher than value as a whole running car is not terribly uncommon. Ted Rutland has bought a number of pretty good, complete, running, driving 308s and parted them out for just that reason. I remember when the same could be said of several 250, 330 and 365 variants.

    I know of a car just waiting word from the owner. I offered him $500 on top of what he would get from the insurance. I'll know in a week or two.
