No affiliation but it looks like a beautiful car, in case anyone is looking. The only thing odd is they say it hasn't been driven since '99, like that's a good thing? But if all the maintenance checks out then I'm sure it would be fine. No price listed but for a car this clean, 95, berlinetta 6sp, my guess would be north of $80k. Thoughts?

I know a lot of people read the forums for leads on cars. Thought I'd post it.

    JR,

Yes. There have been 4 separate threads on the car. Some like it. Some think the previously seen condition does not match the mileage although as you said supposedly not driven since '99. All good.

Have a search for the other threads to read many other takes.

Too much staff done to car for 5800 miles, if it was 58000, than it's believable, but looks very nice otherwise.

Maybe this is just an example of how much you end up having to pay if you fail to drive your Ferrari.

I agree. HAving seen it, in person, before the makeover. 58000 miles was more the case. The leather on the seats looked like it was driven way more that 5800 miles. Maybe something else was occurring on the seats other than driving :).

Oh really? That's interesting. Maybe it's a typo in the mileage?

And yes, I'll search next time. My mistake

That car and at least 6 other Bs priced between $60k to over $100k have been available for a while now. No one seems in a hurry to buy any of them. I recall one of the car that I am aware of was reported as sold for around $80k. However, it was actually sold to another dealer, probably at wholesale, where it still sits. Hagerty shows the marker\t flat in there May update. And before you jump on Hagerty saying their prices are way off, their may update seems to reasonable reflect the up turn in 308/328 prices.

Seems to me like B's are moving.

Yes Hagerty eventually catches up and reports on the market but do they set the market? Here is their description of a condition 1 car-

"Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best car, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concours. Perfectly clean, the car has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 cars is "concours."

It's been mentioned but where can you buy this condition 1 berlinetta for 56k? Sorry but that number isn't even close to correct. You can't. The 100k+ cars don't seem to be moving but everything below that in nice condition seems to be sold almost immediately. Tons of sales mentioned and also quite a few 'wanted' threads.-

More than half the GTS/GTB's publicly listed have been reported as sold by someone on Fchat. Why would the dealer pull the listing early if they paid for a month listing? Especially with how many people call wanting the car. Classic dealer tactic. Once they got you on the phone they can get your information and "find" you the car you want.

Has anyone called on this one recently to see if it is still available?

Like I said, at least one of the cars reported as sold was sold to another dealer who is now trying to sell it. I don't think people here follow up on the sales. They see the car listed as sold and they think it means it was sold to an individual when it was actually wholesaled to a different dealer. That dealer may hold it until he sells it or may move it along to another dealer or dump it at an auction. So just because it may be listed as SOLD or no longer available doesn't mean it was sold in the usual sense.

And I don't see where posting WTB adds from as far back a 7 months has any relevance on what is moving today.

So should I post all of the berlinettas recently purchased by members? How are the last few months not relevant? Only today is?

Ok, no one on fchat bought a b today so they aren't selling but if they were you could buy a perfect one for 56k.

Can you really roll back the odometer on these things? Don't most newer cars also keep track in the ECU? Is it feasible the miles on the one in Texas aren't real?

Mileage for F1s are maintained in the ECU and made available thru the SD2 reports broken down by distance traveled per gear. (also clutch overheat time). It is the manual transmission 355s that are more subject to odometer rollback (or F1s where the ECU has been replaced).

How come so many 355's are missing the right side engine bay trim? Do they fall off? I have seen several cars for sale that are missing that part. Seems odd. Why would someone remove it and not put it back on?

RAC Performance website says "sale pending" - it will be interesting to learn where this traded.
