That silver car is gorgeous! I think the straight side view of this car may be it's best. I personally like the simpler wheels, even if they are smaller in dia.
I like yellow with the dark wheels on the red car..plays off the yellow shield, tach display, maybe add yellow wheel caps.
I see that angle and think the car looks chopped up, pieced together, as in lack of cohesion. I didn't get that impression in person though.
The silver exaggerates the undercut in the side scoops. Red tends to flatten it. Silver shows the blending better over the body. I personally like the wing in the scoops to be body color instead of black or CF.
Going on a slight tangent here but I have to say, the yellow with black roof is striking.. It seems to accentuate the lines of the car in my opinion. Never considered it but it is making me think twice about my order!
I really like the yellow calipers with a black or grigio car ... no so much with the red car. It does bug me that the yellow on the shield does not match the yellow on the caliper, though. Ronald McDonald appears to prefer the silver calipers. But speaking of McDonalds ; ) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Black. Black on a new 488. You know what they say. "Once you go black, you never go back" LOL Oh wait, I don't think that had anything to do with calipers ! Anyway, black calipers. Nice, clean .. not trying too hard to be noticed. You know ..
I really like the traditional Rossa on Nero. If your going with Black wheels, consider Aluminum colored calipers. Also, see if you can get the carbon badges to go with the carbon wheel caps, instead of yellow ones. Ideally, no shields would be best. Here is a good effect on a 612 (before and after) with dark lights: Good luck. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually there isn't even a solid racing reference or anything as to justify those happy colours. Seems like they were used in more low-key cars to accentuate sportiness. Not that you need that in a Ferrari. For me it's silver or aluminium calipers, grey, black still OK.
Before is a million miles better. It's a Ferrari. Few cars can wear the yellow shields, it looks good. The black caps and shields make that car look far duller IMO.
Agree, the 488 looks amazing in grey, it doesn't need coloured calipers, black wheels or anything else...(the shields are ok an look good)....but for the rest, just a plain colour will do...
Are the base wheels smaller in diameter? I didn't think they were.... Also, what are people's opinion of vehicle lift? Is it necessary on a 488?
