The race seats sit almost 2" lower and are not electric but do have a dial to adjust the seat back angle. Two cars similarly speced, the race seat car will sell for more. I have to have them. At almost 6'7" I need to keep my curly lox pretty short to not rub the headliner.
Thank you for all the good advice. I decided to go for a black interior as I could not live with the beige tradizione: it was too orange for me. The dealership had a California with beige tradizione interior and I much preferred the previous beige the 458 had. Regardless, I am very happy with my spec and have attached some pages for those who are interested! I like the race seats but I don't think they add any value at resale time. The new base seat is very nice and the availability of electric adjustment is something many people like. Most of the optiions with few exceptions give you nothing on resale.
Elegante - How the heck are you able to get a new 488 so quickly as a first time buyer? Am I missing something???
Every time I see this statement I ask - show me the data that supports your premise! I have sold Ferrari's with and without shields and if never found shields to be a deal breaker.. Sure there are people who want shields and others who do not. However, even if more Ferrari's are ordered with shields it does not matter, I am speaking of the resale market. You have proof, it would be the first time anyone produced it. Best
That's because you can go to any dealer of your choice. They compete for your new car business. And Europ gets new cars 6 months before US. Must have options: Mich Pilot Super Sports Tires. Request them. LED steering wheel. Shields. I would not get an Fcar without: Electric seats. Auto dimming mirrors. Must be a Spider.
