Wow! So cool! How many one-off concept cars do you see being regularly driven to events? These two are my favorites!
Any news on the Silver State Classic? Looks like the car has a custom front splitter...had a blown oil seal or something & didn't get to run? Is this your car, Jollygood?
Always loved these cars and I was just browsing parts for my 512TR on eBay and came across this one (no affiliation). Very interesting... Other Makes Vector M12 M12 | eBay

I've been reading through some of my coffee table books, and I'm realizing just how much we are in need of a Vector book. Something with many never before seen pictures, the story of the man and the company, interviews with owners and employees, ect. I would buy it in a heartbeat and never sell it. Chris
I agree. One that would set the record straight. I'm tired of hearing about Vector going bankrupt when it didn't happen under Jerry's watch. It's an interesting story for sure.
Yes. Too many people go have the "it was a commercial flop, so therefore it was a bad car" mentality. Sadly, the haters won't have any interest in reading the book, so I doubt it will enlighten anybody. But the book will be for us enthusiasts who love the Vector. The Cizeta book was fantastic, and we need to cover more cars like that. Chris
Just captured M12 chassis 005 today from the Lingenfelter Collection. This was seen at the press conference for the Concours d'elegance of America, where it will be shown in a couple weeks. Chris [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Im0OaGJVWHk[/ame]
I have tons and tons of Vector memorabilia material (books, brochures, about 400 international magaizines from Japan, Korea, Italy, UK, Germany etc etc, posters, videos VIn tags and much more) plus a lot of contacts to former Vector staff. If you find an author I will proivide all my info and memorabilia. I have asked Wallace Wyss but he charges a high fee for his work. Ian Kuah would be a good choice or Sam Fiorani. They all have written articles on the Vector.

Not sure it would be worth a whole lot. But it's really cool stuff in amongst people who know the car and its history. It's kinda like Canada's AVRO arrow. Mean a lot to only those who know and understand. But not much to the general public.
My friend has 5 vectors 3 M12 1 SRV 8 1 12 cyclender race car. I didn't look close at them as they were stacked in his shop and the lighting was bad.
Then you have not talked to the actual owners who are driving them regularly and reliably. Once you get everything fixed a W8 lasts very long.
Most W8s just sit in collections and don´t get moved. Any car that has not been driven for years needs things fixed.
Ah ok. Thanks for clarifying. I wasn't sure if you meant they had inherent flaws from the factory that needed to be corrected.
Do you have any more information on the "12 cylinder race car". The only Vector race cars I recall were an IMSA effort and those cars are in Florida.
The car was posted here on fchat on this thread or another Vector thread a couple of years ago https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e1/Vector_ASR2.jpg This was the IMSA car: http://up.autotitre.com/5cd5458366.jpg
I've seen that first picture before, but I've never seen the IMSA car. Do either of those cars still exist? Chris
