575 v 599. Which would you rather?

the entire ferrari range from 360 to end of 430 with V12's thrown have commonality with so many vehicles in the Fiat stable, all it takes is cross referencing part numbers and details of parts and you'll be amazed at how ferrari do it. It makes great business sense to offer a product at a premium price with an engine/ gearbox that they designed and built but the rest of the car is from the Fiat parts bin supplied by the lowest tender.
The 458 is somewhat different, Ferrari only make the engine and they are basically an assembler of cars.....not so much a manufacturer of cars.
I'm not saying the 575 is a HOS, far from it, you just have to learn to like the luxo barge of it all and do long runs. I know when I took it to Thredbo then Canberra for the buyer to collect it was fun from Adel to Corryong, then from Corryong to Thredbo the luxo barge wasn't quite itself in the twisty stuff.
We got pulled over at Khancoban for the umpteenth time breath test......this time I didn't fall out of the car like in the TR.....but the cop wasn't impressed when I got a bottle of windex out, unscrewed the spray top and started drinking from it......he thought I was past or stoned.....little did he know it had blue powerade in it.

 

on flat road hold foot still, its quite easy, its called foot eye coordination

 

I found the 575 seats quite comfortable; however, my drive did not last as long as I had hoped it would

 

599 with some hgte wheels. Not sure why a genuine 599 hgte is worth 150%+ of a gtb.

 

It's all about the looks and perceived colllectabity. The end

I didn't say anything earlier, but I always thought it was the 599 that was compared to the Supra, not the 550/575.

The 599 definitely looks more like the Supra than the 550/575 does.

I would still rather a 599 thank you very much.

 

I hadn't even seen a Ferrari in person when the 550 was released, so I will take your word for it.
