Anyone got a line on a CF rear grill and bumper to fit? Is only Ferrari OEM available for the lower portion? I know that the upper piece has several aftermarket options.

    Looking for suggestions

    Who sells the upper piece?

The lower bumper just needs to be cut at the clearly visible cut line. No need to buy another one.

It's not quite that simple to just cut the lower bumper. I installed an OEM Challenge grille with OEM lower bumper on my F430. The CF grille bolts to the lower bumper and if you just cut a non matching bumper, you won't be able to bolt the two together. The regular bumper doesn't have the moulded portions where the CF grill bolts to behind the bumper. I guess you could fiberglass those in but seems like more work to properly align the two. Much easier to use the correct bumper.

    Here's my thread.

To the OP, hope you find your bumper!

Thanks for the info and I agree that cutting the rear bumper looks almost impossible to do and still have it look factory correct. The bumpers are harder to find than the grills, but I will be looking for used versions as I refuse to pay "Ferrari" prices.

Make sure you get the correct carbon fiber piece for your car, the spider one is different than the one for the coupe.
I'm still looking for the lower bumper for a reasonable price, harder to find than the grill.

My shop cut my OEM non-challenge bumper to fit an OEM carbon challenge grille and didn't mention any of the items you described. There was certainly no fiberglass work involved.

Looks clean and neat. Did they glue the grille to the lower bumper? Coz the oem grille has a row of mounting points to tie the lower bumper together.

It does look great. does the grill hang over the top? By that I mean, does it cover up the cut edge? Or is there usually a gap like the other body panels?

Sorry Loz997S ... I have to retract my previous statement about the moulded portions. It was late and my photos were on my other computer. I looked at the old photos of my regular bumper and it does have the mounting points. A nice cut like yours will save some money on a bumper.

Here's my old regular bumper and my new installed OEM bumper which shows a tight fit like yours.

    Again my apologies.

No worries Ron and thanks everyone, yes I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I got the grill from an Fchatter, I did actually buy a lower rear bumper section but the fit was awful and my shop determined that cutting my original would be better. Et voila :)

hmmmm..As I mentioned before, both look incredible and its amazing that there is a hand cut edge under there. I wonder how or what they used to cut the bumper? Based on the pictures inside the bumper, it would appear that one just has to follow the shape of where the raised mounting points are located.

According to the shop the cut line is factory-marked, they believe the same moulding is used for Challenge and non-Challenge but that is pure speculation.

Hmm, so your F430 is now badged as a 430 Scuderia? Seems kinda like sticking a "turbo" badge on the car when it's the non-turbo version.

Relax dave. What he meant was his shop found a shortcut to achieve the challenge grille aesthetics without having to purchase a lower bumper. Nowhere did he mention badging it as a 430 Scuderia. The later model F430 coupes and spiders come with the challenge grille.

I'm relaxed. Just think it's lame to have a false badge on a car, if this is the result of the work. Like stuffing your underwear with a sock.

Oh wait...I didn't notice there IS a badge on the grille.

    My bad.
