So I am starting to come around to appreciating F430's. My brother and I may try to add one to our garage next to the other F-cars. Considering purely aesthetics, which body type do you think is better looking? Any thoughts on your choice and why? The coupe or spider (only with the top down)? We like both body types for different reasons. Thanks for the fun thoughts on the design side. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the spider, I just like the how the rear looks flat and longer. Plus with no roof you get the extra sun and sound.
Defnitely the Spider. The flat rear accentuate the see-thru engine feature and the shape is so typical of a mid engine car design.
the spider with the top down looks amazing. However, when you put the the top up next to the coupe, I like the coupe better.
For those that prefer the lines of the coupe over the spider, can you name some specifics that win you over? Pretty even vote currently. Thanks. Robb
Spider because the reality is that it looks so cool that nobody ever looks at the driver - despite what Jeremy Clarkson said originally and was also paraphased here. And although not asthetic, I drove my car with the top up this morning and found it to be not nearly as rewarding as top down cruising.
Robb. Purely subjective of course. But the fixed roof feels more "solid" and more like a purpose built car (go fast around a track). Convertibles make me think of cruising, not racing. But - both look amazing. The hard top spider (458/488) would def make me consider a spyder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
