4,8 oz = 1360 gr = 1,36 kg ........... x 20 = 27,2 kg 2,4 oz = 680 gr = 0,68 kg ........... x 20 = 13,6 kg
You're off by a factor of 10...it's 136gr vs 68gr or 2.72kg vs 1.36kg, a savings of roughly 3lbs (which isn't insignificant for rotating mass). I might argue that $1000 for 3lbs isn't the most cost effective, but we are talking Ferraris here
So 3 pounds of savings on a car with sound insulation, headliner, climate control, electric seats, electric windows, radio, etc., etc., (I know these things are all sprung mass and the wheels are unsprung .... but most folks only drive these on the street at well under the limits of the vehicle). Kind of like having a 4WD Range Rover and only driving in the city...pointless. IMO... take that $$$ and put it towards a driving program like Bondurant, Skip Barber, etc. GUARANTEED you will get more performance and improve lap times, if that's your gig, than anything you can do to modify your car....GUARANTEED ***Hey, not to mention, I'm kinda pissed with a title of "Sex, in 68 gram package"....what a letdown of a thread ... I feel duped
You should feel even more duped and let down when you realize that the thread had been dormant for over 4.5 years until vittorio resurrected it! Does Hill still even offer thes? Wonder what the price is now!
