Interesting, as he certainly doesn't need the money after the Hulu deal, not to mention the syndication checks that must keep coming in. Wonder if he'll "reinvest" in something else...
all cornerstone collection cars in any big time Porsche collection. seems odd he would sell as I am quite certain the proceeds from the sale would only be a rounding error on his balance sheet.
Seinfeld has sold in the past. He might get bored or has another similar car, etc. I've herd he's traded cars as well. He's not a hoarder collector.
rising tide lifts all boats though I agree with you that those 3 cars are going to weather the storm much better than most.
Shocking that I agree with Jon, yet again. These are recession proof cars that I don't see going down in price. In fact, I only see them going up. Look at any race model Ferrari from the same time period. They start at about $15 mill. The 550 is a bargain comparatively speaking.
Collectors are always looking for better examples of what they already have. Sounds like he found a few and is selling the excess.

When you think that a 550 Spider is a 4 cyl 100hp car, $6m is crazy. Is his chassis a historically significant one?
How many "Seinfeld" cars are being sold at Gooding ? SCM says there is a preview of the 3 cars noted at Scottsdale, wonder if there are actually more in the Amelia Island auction ??
I'll answer my own question... More cars to come, rumor is 17+ from the JS collection And I'll be there for the 6th year Bill
