    Are we French? Are the Italians crazy?

    I had to google this. As in aviation I have seen this, oh NEVER. BMW's, NEVER. MV, never.

    In the F manual, pressure plate mount bolts (9 of them) are supposed to be torqued to " 1,3 daNM "

    According to everyone on the net: 1 daNM = 10 NM

    Renault and Alfa Romeo for whatever kooky reason also subscribe to this.

    The "da" (10 of something) is rather archaic, not really used these days. The 355 manual is, at least, correct - some torque tables say daNm, other say Nm, and the values given are correct in their respective units. However, the torque tables I found for the 348 say "daNm" but the values provide are actually in "Nm". When in doubt, I double check with this table (also attached in PDF):
