Congrats Rob - thank you for building such a great community and sharing it with us.
You should've mentioned that, one of my oldest friends lives in Superior and loves to hike. I'm sure he would've shown you around.
grats! was nice to be able to come along for the journey ! (and see where it takes the community now !)
Thanks for all your efforts Rob, and also a big thank you to all the moderators who do an often thankless task.
Hi Rob, Congrats! --not on just the achievement of this recognition but for having the mindset and the desire to create something outstanding and to maintain and enhance it over all these years. I imagine that as a result of your own imagination you have stated that you have held the community back somewhat. I would like to submit that you did just about everything except hold this community back. Whatever you held back, I imagine most of us didn't notice; but thank you for wanting to do more. It was your prerogative to choose to do more or to exercise restraint. But you did evolve: the experience evolved, the policies evolved, the community evolved, and you permitted all these to evolve as the times evolved. For those and more we are all grateful. We all selfishly hope you will remain until F-cars bore us to tears, which of course is a circumstance unimaginable. At the same time, we are confident that you have put the safeguards in place to ensure that freedom of F-car speech will remain for all time.
WTF? I go on business travel, and F-Chat is sold? Am I going to lose my post count? Can PeterS still rant? Will I still be AOTY 2017? Lots of questions to be answered, but seriously, congrats. Hopefully, nothing changes, it's too vibrant of a community to alter it. Realistically, it may change a little, but time will tell. Impressive that it got to this point and that it was acquired - best of luck!!!
Once again congrats! It's crazy to think back to the old days and older software versions how far your site has come. Looking forward to the future as well.
I'm there now. Some lessons are needed for putting a campfire out. Idiots. Lots of the hotels in Boulder stepped up and gave great rates to those that evacuated. I thought with the acquisition you might now have adult supervision and not need to do the supervision. You could turn into the site bad boy. I guess the CEO thing messes that idea up.
So, Rob... can you spare me $8 bucks for a cup of coffee, Mr. Moneybags? Congratulations! I'm very happy for you and glad Fchat will sparkle as usual for a long time to come.
Congrats Rob! Looking forward see how this will evolve. As a Swedish user I'm quite curious/excited to see how this "international improvement" will turn out. I'm also looking forward to some mobile solutions besides Tapatalk. Regards, Anders Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Congrats Rob This prompted a flashback to what this place was like in 2003 (it was like the wild west in comparison) Wow is all I have to say.
Congrats Rob. You've built a valuable community for all of us and this represents the result of all the work it took to make F-Chat THE place for Ferrari enthusiasts and owners.
I havent seen neuros 'I'm moving to China, Shanghai here I come' yet, but it must be coming- he will make a fortune Hahahahahahaha
Don't know why, but my first impression was: "Cadillac". I'm not really a designer, but since I did some logos in my work life, I wouldn't call the new one "a subtle and elegant update". Honestly. Congrats to the deal!
This is awesome Rob, congrats. Now all us old school pre buyout users need a special badge or something by our username or all new users have to hit 20,000 posts prior to being F1 champ. Lol
Congratulations Rob, it is opening the forum of foreign languages this will open the community to Ferraristi or others who do not speak the language of Sheakspeare. We continue this adventure with you. Theodore
As a subscribing member, i consider myself an equity shareholder of ferrarichat and deserved to be compensated in this deal. A check made out to Cash for $1,000,000.00 should suffice. I will incur my own travel costs as an act of good faith to come and grab this check in person.
