Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone. There is so much to see and so many discoveries to make in our journeys. A trip along the route of the map Ron posted could be interesting. I suspect almost every little town along the way has a Wilder museum. I have seen several.

I travel alone almost always. I like the solitary journey. I walked across America alone, border to border a few years ago, on the Pacific Crest Trail. 5 months and 2,650 miles living out of my backpack and sleeping wherever I was when night came.

Take journeys. Explore. Keep things simple and travel light. Don't worry about where you will be at the end of the day. Things always work out.

Yes Shack, the trail was a nice hike with many good memories.

458 Trofeo, the church in the photos from Stillville was where Dvorak would walk the short distance from his residence to play the magnificent pipe organ there. The church is beautiful.

Another good day. Another 200 miles of fun driving under blue skies and temperatures in the 70's F. Windows down. Birds singing on the prairie. Scent of wildflowers and new mown hay. Tiny towns along the way...

Just had a flashback to the Merc backing over the 458 Speciale at a recent cars & coffee. :/

Be careful not to give some old farmer a heart attack as you pass at warp speed on a 2 lane hi-way. :D
