I have the 601's and 303's. Seven McIntosh in all including the clock to the right, and eight including the book. The Ferrari is gone though. Now on my 6th Porsche. 2011 twin turbo 6 speed manual trans. You have some nice McIntosh equipment too. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=2300313&stc=1&d=1475298393 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Jeff, I was thinking that myself, but wondered if there's anything else. Assuming my plans don't change and I'm able to attend, I do have about an hour drive from Riverside that morning to get to the area, but it's via mundane freeway routes and if I'm to drive something interesting and pleasure inducing, which for me means some kind of 40+ year old vintage vehicle, I'd like to incorporate an early am (=less traffic?) scenic portion to this, if possible. If opting to drive around P. V. and allow for couple of stops to "take in the scenery" or refreshments, what kind of minimum time should I allocate for such detour ? Are there any Sat. early am C & C's in the area ?
They have a pretty good turnout and you can take PCH all the way up to Fast Cars http://www.carsandcoffeealisoviejo.com/
Thanks Tim, but I was thinking something in the vicinity of P. V., although, if I was to take 74 West, it could serve my desire for scenic driving. Driving PCH through O.C. and L.A. is not my kind of leisure travel and come to think of it, I haven't encountered many roads in either county on which I would consider driving "enjoyable" (I know, picky, picky,...).
Your by the beach here, it's FULL. You need lubricant to squeeze through traffic Early at least you get some nice ocean air and maybe see a few folks that been out all night wandering around LOL
You missed the PV cars and coffee as it's the 1st Saturday of the month. Regardless, a cruise around the peninsula along PV drive South, (stop at Terranea for a drink) to PV drive east just past Trump golf course then to PV drive North to Crenshaw to Crest to hawthorne back to PV drive is a nice scenic loop and takes less than hour especially on a Saturday morning. Del Cerro park has nice views for pics as does the Terranea and Trump properties. Bring a camera!
I'm planning on taking my car to get cleaned up for Saturday at this place called Rhino custom detailing in HB. Anyone heard of them or had experience using them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I use Classy Cars on Warner at Gothard. Tell a Jeff that Andy recommended him to you. He does cars for Foose and Mothers.
I've used them in the last few years for my DD - and they have been great. They have a good team working there, and the facility is pretty big for a detailing shop.
Event starts at 10. I was thinking heading out at 9:30. I'm in Irvine, so all I need to do is hop on the 405 N and I'm there. Meet location in OC anyone? Preferably somewhere close to the 405? South Coast Plaza right in front Bloomingdales/ANQI restaurant sounds like a good spot.
Ok. I'll ask my neighbors if they're interested in the drive/event (458 and 458 Spider.) Anyone else interested? Not much of a caravan with 2 cars .
I might come but my wife and kid might not be too fond to wake up that early.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
