Gents~ I never thought this day would come, but I am my own worst enemy (as many of you can attest!). I am selling my beloved 2001 Maranello that I have owned for the last 3 years. The car is the next to last 550 ever made. Pertinent details are as follows: 2001 550 w/ 21,311 miles I am the 4th owner and know the 2nd & 3rd owners, both prominent FChatters Rosso Fiorano on Cuiuo interior Daytona Seats Quilted leather shelf and headliner! Shields Modulars All above options were factory spec'd and appear on the original window sticker, which of course accompanies the car. The car has every doodad that originally came with it: All covers All books & manuals with flashlight All radio and alarm codes Complete tool kit and tire inflator All service records All 3 fobs and 2 keys Window sticker There is a tiny, tiny bit of dash shrinkage if you look really close, but nothing requiring attention. Otherwise, the car is pretty much dead nuts perfect. The front end has been clear bra'd. The paint is spectacular. Interior is a 10. No wear on the bolsters, never been smoked in, perfect carpets, etc. Modulars are perfect too. Interior leather regularly cleaned and conditioned. The only thing modified on the car is that it has an X pipe from Ricambi and a Tubi exhaust. Sounds great and runs like a raped ape. I just had a major done in Nov 2016. Car checked out perfectly and needs nothing. Has been driven less than 100 miles since! The car has all original paint, has never been hit, original glass, radio, etc. All sticky bits were professionally repaired. I will reiterate that this car needs nothing and is the best 550 that I have ever seen. Asking $190K. Car is located in Orange County, CA. No trades please, no dealers and no Nigerian Prince offers. One last thing: I have been heavily medicated for pneumonia for the past 3 weeks. When I emerge from my drug-induced stupor, I reserve the right to pull this listing if I come to my senses! I've driven this car about 1.5 years back while visiting Rob. Damn straight - this car runs like a raped ape alright! If I had the free coin and room this would be in my garage!
this is a beautiful 550 and one of the last built very nice car Rob.. really looks great..... best of luck with selling this...
I should also point out that the car has the upgraded 575M type motor mounts, as well as silicon coolant hoses. All other questions answered via PM. Thank you.
This is an amazing car! How do I know you might ask...I used to own it. Rob has a great car on his hands and I can't believe he is selling it! One of the best Ferraris I have ever owned!
Congratulations for this car but saddened for this sale. Mine in France. Very pleased to see one 550 similar. Depends of the sun, but this "rosso fiorano" is ranging from lighter to darker patches. And in front of the factory during my last journey in Italy (I'm sorry for the bad quality of this shot.)
Rob- She is really a late model. There were probably a dozen 575Ms built before her, including the Geneva Auto Show introduction models.
In 2013 and in Germany, there was one 550 in the same presentation, only seats were differents and racing. She was almost 300000 km and the price was 28000 Euros. It makes wonder. This time is finished. A very beautiful 550. Hope you can enjoy a few more drives, and feel better Rob. Having seen this car in person a couple years ago, I can attest - absolutely gorgeous. Rob takes great care of his cars, and whoever gets passed the keys to this 550, congrats.
