'84 Mondial sold for $23,100 which includes a buyers fee. 34,000 miles Seems like a steel. What do you think? Am I missing something? 1984 FERRARI MONDIAL - 206267
The car needed a lot of work. Nothing missed at all. IMHO it was a bad example, and should not have been there in the first place. The price was a bit lower then expected but not by much.
It's made out of steel. Probably won't do 149. Doesn't have power steering, or power brakes, or an electronically adjustable suspension. 55,098 Kilometers ? Is this not a US car ? They might have gotten more if they had fit a new header tank cap.
Agreed, but I think the price is about right although I wouldn't pay it (a tad too high for me). Plus the painted bumpers say "customized" and brings up the question about resale red (i.e. not the original color). I wonder what's the age of the TRX tires. ZFFLD14B000049247 - Euro car . Are you sure about that? I thought the price only reflects the "hammer" price. Makes the car look like a better buy. Buyer's fee is typically 10%, so if you are correct that makes the hammer price about $21,000. Regards, Jerry
I know its a tough one but, on balance, I think I prefer the non-original coloured bumpers. It gives the car a better line. My Azzurro QV is getting painted this week and I've told them to do the bumpers in blue with everything below the bumpers, and of course the sills, in black. I'm hoping I don't regret this decision. I've agonised over this
About right for a car that needs work. Just glancing at the pics I see- - Incorrect seats. - Painted bumpers - Dirty/tired looking engine bay Figure stripping and restoring the bumpers, buying some correct seats (and possibly having to redye or recover them to match), and doing a major (at minimum) and you've already added 10k above the cost of the car. My guess would be double that to sort everything out.
According the description the chassis was so good it was used in the 360. So this car wasn't a steel after all.
Not sure why anyone that owns a Mondial would base the value of their cars on Auction Prices. Most of these cars are the typical "Auction Pigs" and don't represent the prices a well cared for documented example most all of us have. We seem to be our own worst enemy when it comes to the values of our cars.
Wheels are also not original for this type of Mondial, it looks that somebody wants it to look the same as a 3.2 version. Well it didn't worked out in my opinion.
As a driver, the Recaros are better seats....though not sure how much bigger they are compared to stock. Will they steal space from the back seat. This car is not going to Pebble Beach so....
This car is completely Fu..........Up with de wrong wheels, painting dimensions, rear bumper and Seats. I would not pay 5k for it. The Guy who buys this car doesn’t understand anything about originality!
