Guys, I searched the forum, sticky etc and could not find a thread that shows a DIY exhaust instal. Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Here are some tips but I don't know of any write ups - it's rather self explanatory....

    - Get some PD blaster (needed to soak rusted hardware to remove, and O2 sensor threads)
    - It never hurts to get some new hardware or it least have it handy in case you break a few bolts
    - Remove wheels
    - Remove inner wheel shields
    - Remove rear bumper - use plenty of blue painters tape to avoid paint damage - get help removing 1st time (but it can be removed by yourself)
    - Plan on some new exhaust donut ring gaskets

When I tried changing my O2 sensors I had a hard time getting them off, even with penetrating oil.

I idled the engine a bit to heat up the exhaust and they came out like buttah

    Thanks for the info guys.

I may get the car classiche certified before putting the exhaust. The few people that saw the car could not believe the condition it is in with only 3050 miles.

Do you guys know what gasket / bolt I need for the instal?

You will need to review the parts diagram.

Guys I tackled this project today, tubi exhaust and test pipes.

Everything went well BUT when putting the bumper back the alignment was off quite a bit.

By loosening the test pipe Y pipe connection etc I was able to get it better.

But the exhaust is still too much to the right and touching / almost touching one side of the bumper.

Does anyone has a trick to adjust the exhaust?

Can the exhaust hanger spring bolt be adjusted?

    Thanks

You need to leave the cat brackets and the muffler brackets loose, install the bumper, centre everything then tighten the cats, then the muffler.

To adjust the cats you roll them so that the muffler can be centered.

It looks like the top where the Y pipe meets the muffler is off centered quite a bit
