Evidently not 14997 but instead a different 1971 Daytona *14859* but it to was cut by Straman. The Daytona was for sale; USA as blk/blk back in 1990 for $275k. The interior differences between this car and 14997 should have been a bigger clue perhaps as to which Daytona it was or in this case wasn't...
It seems quite a few of these Straman Spyder conversions in this close proximity of chassis numbers are black.
Rather, I call it the 'Miami Vice' influence. No record of the colors for how this Daytona started out though it was black in 1990. Marcel hasn't commented on the build color or interior color yet for *14859* here...
Thank you for coming to the rescue yet again Marcel! That is amazing; another Daytona originally in Oro Chiaro. Next thing you will be telling me it was delivered by Modern Classic Motors to. As I noted before the Oro Chiaro color is rare in the production run of these models but you would not think so from all these examples appearing here...
…what a mess… Would be incredible in it's original colour combination, even if it's a cutted Coupé....
sort of like this Daytona? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Marcel, need two Spyders together to see the difference clearly. First 1971 - 14383 in Nocciola and 17073 in Oro Chiaro plus 16689. Thanks also to Wolf for the number 16689 of that Nocciola 1973 Spyder. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you, both colours are exceptional, would personally prefer Oro Chiaro... But for such a car originality counts imho.
