I put on the Braden resonator delete pipes, and Tubi mufflers. It is quite obnoxious, and told it "invades peoples space", I like it though..............
My car has Tubi's rear mufflers only and is quite distinctive sound and I get complimented on it all the time. The original owner of my car owned 2 456's, a GT them an M, and swapped them to the M. The serial number on the is 456 000000068! and has etched above it ONLY COMPETITION!
+1, same setup as my car. Love the sound as it is muscular but subdued... suits the car perfectly. Stock IMHO is a bit too quiet. Cheers! Ruben
Many aren't aware, but Tubi's were originally louder and now come in two versions, regular and 'more sound', i.e. louder. I have an early set on my car and was told by the Tubi importer after checking the serial number that mine are equivalent to today's louder version. I notice that standard Tubis don't emit enough sound to let me know what I'm driving, but my car sounds AWESOME to me. Shakes my garage, loud enough to wail when I'm on the pedal, but defintely not enough to be offensive. It may be enough without the added X pipe, but only someone who'd have done one and then both would know...
Here's something you don't see everyday. A 456 only car meet. In Daikoku, Japan! And a recent sale solidly in the six figures... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Impressive!, 11 by my counting. One of the Maroon cars is owned by a guy who has done some extensive work on his car including gearbox strip and overhaul! Image Unavailable, Please Login

I am not sure why I haven't found this previously, maybe I have but no matter. And no that's not me http://gianpaolocappuzzo.wixsite.com/my456
Um, respectfully no. Governor Moonbeam has to (literally) feed the illegal immigrants. He ain't spending it on spillways and roads. Rant mode off. Carry on.
I endeavor to keep this thread as a collection of information on just the 456 unlike the last two totally out of context posts 340 and 341. Back to the subject, a short road test on the 456M Manual in 2003, which I suspect was written earlier. 1999 Ferrari 456M - Road Test Review - Motor Trend http://driving.ca/ferrari/456-ferrari/reviews/road-test/road-test-2001-ferrari-456gt-2
If a video could be called detailing a 456M GTA as an elegant Video, this is it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClM8Hj-SYR8
Hi, A few weeks ago we drove the 456 GT home via Denmark & Sweden. But most likely the car will only be here temporarily and while I can I have been sorting out moisture issues and doing preventive rust and corrosion protection on the chassis and electric items. The a/c drain was clogged, I guess for a very long time (don't you hate it that a regular service at an authorized dealer does not include simple stuff like this) and I ended up taking apart the joint under the center console and cleaned all of the hoses with large zip ties and some water & soap. But the seams and side of the chassis already had some rust, as did the LH bottom corner of the fuse/relay box. So protected the interior and brushed those areas with a brass wire brush, vacuumed and applied two coats of Noverox with a spray can. Next will follow two coats of active antirust paint (Ferrex) and some antirust coating. While at it I was able to fix the front cig lighter and it's light (messed by a PO with the removal of the Japanese alarm system) but the drivers side front speakers are still mute, or get the occasional random noise and rattle. I was suspecting a broken earthe connection somewhere, but maybe it's a bigger cable/connection problem, as it turned out a PO (or mechanic) had completely unplugged the driver's side door speaker. Oh well, lets see how far I get. I was thinking of taking the whole interior out next winter and cleaning everything and applying Connolly hide food to all leather surfaces. Cheers, Pekka T. Fin. Gosh I miss that car SO badly... hope you love it as much as I did Matthew. Don't let it get away like I did!!
I'm enjoying the car thoroughly. Passed 20k miles on the way home from our local Cars & Coffee a few weeks ago. I haven't been able to find out what kind of wheels those are, though, and one is bent sufficiently so the wheel guy is nervous about straightening it. Knowing where I could get a replacement would be helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
