I was planning to put Dino emblems on my ashtray-style hubcaps for my '75 GT4. But then I started wondering whether cars were actually delivered that way or whether the ashtray caps all had cavallino rampante emblems for rebadging the GT4's, in which case a "Dino" ashtray hubcap would be incorrect...
from what ive known they were sent to the US with the Dino emblems in 75.And Then horse emblems etc were added as per the Tsb. I switched mine back to Dino back in 2001ish. And also I placed the Dino badge on the nose
Yes, that's quite different than the badges from Dino246.com that I just received Thanks for the pics
I don't recall the link, but I believe there are a couple of threads in the 206 / 246 Forums that discuss this topic. There are some telltale components of the logo, like the chrome edging, the shape of the dot over the letter "i", and the script curl after the letter "o". Here are two that popped up after a quick search: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/116238-wheel-center-badge.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/382516-dino-wheel-badge-campagnolo-wheels.html
