I tried to stage some pictures with my E55 for comparison. Pretty crazy! My E55 is lowered 1.5" and the 355 is still like 16" shorter in height and 18" in length. Anyone have similar pictures with other sports cars? fullsize https://imgur.com/FZ9VA2L https://imgur.com/qHLuwqY https://imgur.com/MUsYVDv https://imgur.com/4LStXIP Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Very cool comparison photos. I know there are height standards but it's interesting how the bumper lines line up almost exactly. 355 looks like it might be lowered also...??
Great pics! Really puts it into perspective. Well done and appreciate the effort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Woooooowwwww, The picture next to the trucks is kinda scary. Still better protection than a motorcycle, right?

I was behind a lowered M3 at a light yesterday I was eye level with his rear license plate. I thought that thing is pretty high up........lol.
This is why I love the 348/355.....the last small Ferrari. And the 348, the last analog Ferrari....(not counting ABS of course.)
One thing I love about the 355 vs my former 360 is the smaller dimensions from a driving standpoint. But both the 355 and 360 have an awesome stance when you see them "in the flesh, on the road". The first thing I noticed when I got my 355 was the smaller size (a good attribute for a sports car) and steering (OK for a sports car, but ratio and feedback not as good as the 360- more similar to BMW steering in my pre-bangle era 5-series).
The relatively low and wide stance of cars like the 355/360/lambos/delorean, etc is something I find very appealing about the design. From a distance on the road, even "non-car people" can pick it out intuitively as something special and art-like
I have an F250, and when I go from the 355 to the F250 it feels just as big as it looks! Great photo.
Living in redneck alberta its even smaller beside all the lifted pickups. Got cut off yesterday by a bigrig as he was turning. I was looking at the underside of his trailers.
Sure, they seem small, but still much wider than my 911. Also, there is so much shoulder and elbow room inside my 348, it's hard to rest an elbow on the windowsill. It's also a minor gymnastic test to vault in and out of the seat over that wide door sill. But I still love it! I have never sat in a 360 or later model. I can't imagine why they need all that extra width/bulk.
I thought I read that Luca Cordero di Montezemolo stated the 355 replacement had to be able to carry a golf bag behind the seats (wide enough) when the design team began their work. The older (smaller) Ferraris seem to look a bit out of place in the U.S. - not so much in Europe.
