The links are legit as it's not a scam,, Moretti's theory about a disgruntled banned member is most likely the cause of the complaint..
I clicked on the report this to Interpol, waiting for the outcome, all looks legit for the report but then all good hackers do make them look legit
It is a legit website,,l clicked on it on an old iphone 4 that l don't use anymore working off wifi and it takes you to the Interpol website.. l also decided to waste my time and call Telstra and after an hour on the phone l got the same reply as you did asking me if l wanted to go through the premiun service for a fee,, l told them the problem wasn't with my device but that it's an Australia wide problem and only with customers using the Telstra broadband service. Being that l was speaking to a person in the Phillipines, they could not replicate the problem on their computer.. After refusing to pay for a fix for something that they have blocked,They told me they are going to esculate my issue and will get back to me within 48hrs,, l'm obviously not holding my breath..
They certainly are,,l got put through to 3 different people, the last being an 'IT expert' and she couldn't fix the problem..admittedly they were very polite and apologetic but unfortunately useless..
Here is what my security guy said, so it is basically within the ISP. I would leave them in mass and tell them you are doing so. Don't pay for a company that would allow this to happen and then not allow it to be corrected. "Theres really not much of a chance that this has anything to do with your server or forum. Its too focused and localized. Its only users from a single ISP - in Australia. If no one else is reporting it, anywhere else at all, then its not something you even have access to. I cant see any way you can either diagnose this or take action against it. It has to be addressed within the countrys ISP infrastructure since it isnt present outside of there."
It's nice though that after they cannot fix your problem they sign off with the fantastic quote " thank you for your call, is there anything else I can help you with tonight?"
FYI moving to the new server and software tomorrow, not sure if they are blocking the IP or domain, but IP will change and the long URL.
Thanks for the info about the sever movement. As for us leaving Telstra in droves, their the best of a bad bunch, sorry for others how are happy with them. For lots of Australian there are other options but if you don't live in a major city your screwed for choice and service, Basically the Telco has us over a barrel. Just getting a phone conectected takes more than week, and all the call centers are in In the Philippines with scripted responses over and over from one department to another. As for me I'm sitting on a wonderful cruise ship docked at St Petersburg Russia, enjoying a nice coffee and have no issue accessing the site and wondering what all the fuss is about.
Thanks Rob, I sort of worked that out in 10 mins which is why I went thru the same crap as Maurice, the "techs" in the Philippines are polite but useless and no simple explanation can get it through their thick skull (and I'm talking about their " experts" here) will get them to understand the basics of networking or troubleshooting. I've sent an email to Telstra (they OWN the last mile and have a LOT of tricks to **** you up if you move away from them) and spoken to several of my friends who work there ( they have the same problems in their own company ) And have also emailed Interpol so we'll see how long the system takes but I am getting sick of dealing with the Philippines , lovely and polite but dumb as **** for networking, it is seriously painful trying to explain an issue to them and this goes back to dial up access so we've had it for a LONG time and it's time Telstra got their act together with the billions they make
keep me updated, we have in-house legal now, I would be happy to file against Telstra if they blocked us because of what one user sent them with no evidence. we'll also subpoena who the user was and go after them for false report. thanks.
Sell your Telstra shares and invest in Ferrari - amazing what the Ferrari shares have done in the last 12 months Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just another example of Telstra ineptness - unfortunately they are effectively a monopoly outside of the major cities...
John do you think you ever get to talk to a real tech? In my sad experience, which did involve the Ombudsman, I was told I could not speak direct to a tech, all info had to be relayed through the service centre?
I spoke with " an expert in broadband" p) who didn't have a clue what to do after I told her the issue. She couldn't even v.erify my claim !!! Err dumb me , I was talking to a real Telstra tech yesterday and forgot to ask them to log onto fchat to test it I believe that someone has been banned , logged onto the Interpol website, lodged a complaint saying ferrarichat is disseminating child porn and some goon just blocked the site for Telstra users but it obviously isn't someone who can do a blanket block as you can get to it via the Telstra 4G network. Now, to find this goon is proving difficult but I hope when they get to the bottom of this they prosecute them to the extent they go to jail/gaol as I get sick of these hackers/wannabe smartarses/children ****ing up people's enjoyment.
That thought did cross my mind but I hope he isn't that petty, it could land him in a load of trouble with Interpol ..... I gave them a list of possibles to see if any of them crossed their path
