latest victim close to my heart a 2005/2006 twin turbo heffner ford gt Just crushes it! Can't wait Gtjoey
No matter how good a driver the paddle shift dialed in will Make the best look pathetic Someone post the vid it's wild the gt is well over 1,000 hp
Comments about driver, slow shifts, can’t keep car steady mph and it didn’t seem like 1000. Say 850, Mac has 775 ish and weighs less. 7 left it for dead. I’d like to see good driver and healthy car. GT still would get killed but it’d look less sad.
recent video of a 720 walking away from a 650s that's been tuned and dyno'd at 705 whp. The 720s is pushing 800+ to the crank. Maybe Mclaren is quoting wheel HP now with their naming convention.
The 720 is insane. It completely walks on the Tesla P100D, and the Tesla even gets a jump start on the 720. (Skip to 1:49)
Some roll races. No one knows how to start together, but you can still see what a beast the 720s is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdJpthicsdc
Saw these guys today at Sema. They went out this pm to run supercharged Huracan. Nice cluster of 4 720 owners. I now know 17 owners and 8-10 orders. Fun little mafia. The dyno car is a luxury so it doesn’t have trofeo R’s. They think 9.5’s at 147 easy with R’s. I’m fine with 9.9 at 141, but never enough. Tune rumor is 850 at wheels. Downpipes add a bit more. Nothing exceeds like excess.
Zero chance of 9.5. I think 9.8 at 145 is the absolute top top perfect run this car could pull. Which is, btw, ridiculous.
Well now we have an official US mag test in R&T PCOTY. 720S did not disappoint. Ran a 9.9 at 148 mph. 0-150 mph in 10.2 seconds (which blew me away). It’ll run with the hypercars and then pass them by when their batteries run out of juice. Only poor stat was breaking performance 60-0 mph in 108 feet. That’s about 15 feet longer than I’d expect. Was the 720S wearing trofeos for the test? If not then expect all performance to be amplified including straight line with trofeos on the car. Now we know why the videos posted show the 720S crushing all comers.
Your comments on 1/4 time and braking seem unrealistic. Pads like heat, and nobody ever beds pads despite factory bulletins describing same. I’ve driven mine a lot, and stopping is not an issue, it’s shorter than number quoted. Surface variance is rarely commented on by US mags. Ive got Trofeo R’s. Shaun’s drag car is Lux with non Rs. He rarely misses a target, and I’m quite confident the guys in his group will see those numbers once temps drop. Personally, I’m waiting for AM&S, CD, MT numbers. N of one is insufficient power of study. And nobody ever does statistics.
They fiqured out technolog/hp, Like he said if traction control is off, the car would never be controllable. I just don't know where the gasoline engine goes from here? Neat technology gtjoey1314
Brooks was at Sema at Xpel booth talking 720s right before he did these runs. He was pretty confident, lots of other stuff he wants to run. Going to be great channel to follow, already is. I’m thinking downpipes, I still need cats though. Not a huge diff considering you crush everyone else. Probably moot until tune out. Joey you better hurry and get one. I’ve met about 12 guys with them plus guys here, and another 6-7 with orders. Every single person that has one is amazed. And laughs a lot. Can’t be grumpy driving a 720. Lol.
Want your Huracan to beat the 720s? Simple, just turbocharge it, or supercharge it! Right? RIGHT?? No...sorry.
Sure validates Road and Tracks unreal acceleration data. It will be very interesting to see MT and C&D’s data especially if one of them gets Trofeo R’s on the car. I still can’t get over 0-170 mph in 13.6 seconds.
