Not the worst combo! I think i found a current photo of JLA12345?! If yes, its located in Japan now. I guess there aren´t so much 88,5 yellow-beige cars around! So most likely its JLA12345... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also some photos of HLA12110 (FI), before it was brought to europe. Back then it had red interior, very original, like polo storico stated.... haha Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree, I think its the car. It's actually a lemon-yellow metallic color, Ive seen this car in person multiple times and in it's presence, the yellow is unlike any other yellow I have seen on an Italian car, pictures do it no justice nor do they portray the car's true tint, FWIW it was a color-to-sample special order.
Leo, it's possible you missed the Fuelie thread which has been created https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/countach-qv-fi-thread.563509/ this car belongs there. IMHO, red is fine, the gold - no comment.
Monaco-based 88.5 Downdraft with 25th Annivesario sports seats as noted earlier in the thread, likely Yves S's car as the Miura SV & Lancia Stratos are his. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Robert W, can you please remind us which one this is? RHD, UK-registered UFE 1 when images here at Bramley UK's showroom circa 1989 I think, that's perhaps a new Porsche 959 directly behind it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
...F926OYR. UFE1 plate belongs to Bramley but they didn't ever register it on the car - it is for display only. Date is 1989 or 1990, yes. There is a second red 959 just visible behind the silver one along with an amazing silver Ferrari 275GTB.
Stanzani Tells: Countach came after a mistake I did: A really nice interview as the others Davide Cironi did. Take a look at his channel.
Yves S responded to me this morning (in French!) which I've roughly translated as follows: "Here all is well, I hope you too! The picture you sent me is very recent, who is the spy who took it?! The history of the seats: I ordered this 1988 Countach directly from Sgarzi by paying cash and I picked it up at the factory and drove it back to Monaco. I decided I will return the car, the factory responded that they will find a solution. Back at the factory, they made two leather bucket seats, making the car much larger inside. Thereafter, for the 25th, the factory sold them these as a sports seat option. You see, I'm part of the story! Finally, I'll tell you that I will remake my Miura SV in its original color "Verde Uccelo Del Mare" I have the exact color. You will have to redo your book !! I'm kidding it's great, your book. Cordially, YS." We learn something new about Lamborghini history every day! Yves owns one of two Nero/Nero Countachs in Monaco (the other owned by Prince Ranier) owned from new.
Inspected a UK delivered, RHD Countach QV that hasn't been used since 1996 a few days ago. Interesting to note it was on Pirelli P7r tyres and had an extra stereo box mounted alongside the dash pod, just like my car. At least it had been dry stored all these years, so there wasn't too much rot and the body looked in reasonably good order but it would need a ground-up restoration to get it back on the road again. Chassis number is HLA12149, anyone know this car? I saw HLA12149 in London when it was new-ish @ Portman's West London Service center @ 29 years ago (!) and it has been posted in the thread earlier. Here it is below next to Denise Pearson's Downdraft, on the same E 731 KYL plates. Having sat unused for 21 years, I agree that this is a restoration project, albeit a really good one, given that it appears to have all its original components. Image Unavailable, Please Login
