Back to Mont Tremblant, this time with some new tires and a few more laps at the track. 1:32.3 on Michelin S9Ls , just after I cleared some traffic...
I just started tracking and I'm hooked. Hopefully, I can out as much as possible. I took my Speciale to PBIR and managed a 1:27.98 using Harry's lap timer app. The car has so much more in it, I just need to build my confidence with more track days.
Now you've done it. Yes, it can be an addiction. Coaching is invaluable, and there is no substitute for seat time. Enjoy!
I believe we've been to Thermal 4 times previously over the past 3 years. So let's call this my fifth track day there. It's a different circuit when you're running sub-2:00s!
Got down to a 1:18.54 at Summit Point main with the 360 challenge. VIR up next, looking to break 2:00 on May 19.

Exc momentum leading into next weeks IMSA race at Mid-Ohio.
It’s been a long time and the track is gone but if I remember the time right 2:21 (could have been 2:23) which seems really slow... But I was driving a 1952 Allard. ;-)
My first ever track day on 4/21/2018 at LVMS Outside Road Course with stock.2018 Mercedes GLA45. Posted 2.16 with instructor on side.

2mn 01s 32 at the french Magny-Cours GP track yesterday (with the 488 GTB) - I was hoping to break the 2mn mark, but for my defense there was some traffic (70 cars booked for the day, not all of them on the track simutaneously, obviously), and a very nice weather that was probably a bit too warm... Amazingly, the speedo top speed (not achieved on the best lap btw) was 260 kph, which I did not expect for Magny-Cours (my best speed at Magny-Cours with the 575 was 250 kph, and with the 488 I only reached 267 kph at Spa which is a far faster track than Magny-Cours). I will try to post a clip of the 2mn01s lap later, but it need some edition; before here is the trip computer with the 260 kph speed. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
