Looking for information on anyone doing Ferrari service in the Western New York State area. Both V 12 and V 8 cars Thank you P
I'm south of Buffalo (Orchard Park). Sadly, you are not going to find any shop with extensive experience in this area. I think Rochester is pretty grim too. 6 hours from Buffalo but if I didn't do my own work, this is the place I would send my cars: https://scuderiaperformante.com/
Cantech Automotive in Syracuse I've heard is good too. Sent from my SM-G930V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thanks everyone for your replies I was afraid of the results of my question. I know the area a bit and was sure there wasn’t a standout. Just as easy to truck the car back east if there is a problem Thanks again
Thanks Guys Does anybody know of a 1970 365gt 2+2 in the Buffalo are. Car was painted special medium grey color with a tan interior I sold the car to a DR (an Italian guy) in the early 70’s Lost track of the car and have been looking for it. I bought the car when it was a few months old and drove if a lot Thru the winter also on the salt roads . It probably rusted back to the earth. I have looked for it through all the usual methods so do not need any help with that. I believe it is either in a garage in western N Y Or destroyed some were. Lost the guys name etc Just putting it out again just for kicks. I have put this out on Fchat before VIN 13095 P
Who was it that had the Maserati store with the Bora among other cars in Williamsville? It was down the main street closer to Transit Road on the other side from Glen Campbell Chevrolet as I recall. Maybe one of those guys heard of 13095? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure about the Maser dealer but i love the picture of Glenn Campbell with all the mid year vetts! If you have a bigger file/picture please send it over.
Sorry that is the only picture I have of the dealership. It was interesting to see they ordered a 1965 convertible with a white soft top. In 1969 the dealership again had a row of new Corvettes on display. On the end there was a red 1969 convertible with a white soft top. It was a 4 spd 350HP version with the 1969 only chrome side pipe exhaust. At the time I thought it was the perfect Corvette!
The best vintage Ferrari mechanic in Rochester left the area in 1989. At one point, there were more vintage Ferraris in the Rochester area than any other city in New York except NYC. As far as I know, there are none left. I lived in Rochester for over 25 years and I remember 275s (GTS and GTB), Daytona coupe and Spider, at least two 365 GT 2+2, at least two 330 GT 2+2, some Dinos, three 250 GTOs, a Daytona prototype, a California spider, a few GTEs, a 312 P, a Dino prototype, a 330 GTC, a 365 GTS, a P3/4, a 512 Boxer, a 330 GT with wicker inserts in the door, a GTC/4 and an assortment of 308s and Testarossas. There was even a guy in Canandaigua with two garage queen Bugattis.
Buffalo does not have too many Ferrari's but we are slowly seeing more.. Off the top of my head: - My 355 F1 GTS / F355 Berlinetta - Jay's 360 - Josh's Mondial - Bruce's 575M - My friend Al's 458 - Kevin's 308 GTS (He sold it) - IIRC, another member Kevin with a yellow 458 - John 328 - I also know of a 360 spider, 430 spider and another members 355 spider Oh and someone has a Daytona spider - saw it at a restaurant a few summers ago - amazing car.
No, my friend Al has only had 1 Ferrari and it's the 458. I found the car and negotiated the deal for him a few years ago from Ferrari Fort Lauderdale. Image Unavailable, Please Login Ops - I forgot about Kyle's 328 Image Unavailable, Please Login
I too was born in Buffalo and raised in Williamsville. There was a yellow Dino in East Amherst. My neighbor had a fantastic Pantera, and there was a white Countach nearby, a silver Lamborghini Espada and a gold Mercedes 300SL Roadster in Ellicottville. I think seeing these cars as a kid led to my passion for Ferrari! I’ve also seen a red 430 spider in recent years, at the Dash’s Market on Klein Road in Williamsville, when visiting family.
Dave there's a black F12 too I've seen around town. There's a guy 1 mile from me who has a silver 360. Haven't met him yet though. And a 308 gt4 in OP. And another 328 in OP. I've spoke to the gt4 and 328 guys. Sent from my SM-G930V using FerrariChat.com mobile app
