it's going to be placed somewhere in the air box. The plan is to make one as the carbed airbox! It is a small issue compared to the others you see above.....
I bought the jenvey parts as they know what i need for this 308 setup, but i had to change 90% of the fuel and linkage parts to fit correctly or even to fit... But now the final self designed parts installed too. I went for the metal printing so they looks like an original factory casting piece I think it looks vintage too... It uses the factory needle bearing coming from the carbed 308 , so it moves like greased lightning.... Hard to belive but it took 5-7 days to measure,design and test and redesign this the reach the final dimension.... I'm going to syncronize those too so only a little fine tune needed when the engine is running. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I think 270-290 hp. I made some simulation which included some experience too So i came up with this config. I will make the running in session and the programing of the ecu on a Dyno dinamics rolling road which is top level in my experience.Will post result of course.
Great progress. keep us going! what brand pistons are those you're using? and how many mm did you open the intake ports? and those camshafts look like Cat Cams, is that right? I ran Cat Cams in a motor and they were fantastic!
I used 1st oversized wossner pistons, as they are a bit softer then ross racing or je etc, so less clearence so less oil consumption and bit less noise, and i have a great discount on them as a reseller Also the same for the catcams, but i ordered a custom cams, as i like a relative short duration but bigger lift, and i use a very small exh cam as i think the exh valve, port etc...are too oversized for this engine. I focused on intake , compression and less drag/more efficient setup. Use high tech parts and small good shaped ports as possible, and small cams as possible.. High tech fuel injectors,ign coils, reasonable high performance ecu. As equal as possible every cylinder, timing etc......
this is great on how you will be hiding the fuel rails and injectors inside the V and under the airbox (factory i hope). the injectors angle may or may not be optimal placement but i think its well worth it to hide all the ungainly looking injectors and wires. it must have to been huge challenge to package all the components and linkage with in the V under that low profile airbox. 308 motors are perched up high leaving very little room under the rear deck lid compared the inverted gearbox cars like the 348 fantastic job btw!
Check this! They are in a fairly good position as the nose of them in the air stream. I measured on a dyno ,a 4 cyl 1.6L engine with an old and this type injector and we had 3-4 hp gain with this arrangement! Also needed a bit less injection duration and bit different timing. I use these as many as i can from then...
That is probably the best solution I've seen. As for the Cat Cams, their catalog 'sport' cams are really outstanding and streetable but only when used with higher compression, just for reference for anyone who might be reading or considering. I see the R8 Bosch coils you're using, I'm using very similar Bosch coils for this 911 2.8 engine receiving similar treatment as your 308 motor. It's surprisingly easy with 911 stuff though as there is so much out there!
Early on you installed a crank pulley sensor to trigger the ignition. You also have a cam sensor. Is that for ignition also?
Yes we use them a lot here, and fairly cheap too. it is good up to 150hp+/coil even on boosted, more then good for this.
yes it is needed for fuel injection timing and for individual cyl trim. the ecu has to know if the cyl is on firing stroke....
Yesterday at 5:04 PM The steering rack had the usual worn bushing.So I replace it with PTFE like plastic. Hope it works here too.
In the mean time just replaced the air went flaps they where stiff and brittle,I found a fairly good replacement , very cheap. And it looks authentic... Image Unavailable, Please Login
