Would leave it there registered in my name for a couple of years and then bring it over for her as a surprise.......Hope she isn't reading Fchat.........
Ffs, doesn’t anyone buy a car to drive it any more? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
That’s the way to do it. I’ve often thought about that as an option as opposed to some of the ludicrous prices over here.
I agree that the car is well done, I even thought about it myself, but the market tends not to pay for mods; it pays for originality. Which is why all my cars are worthless.
Yeah it got to $98 but no one here even knew it was up for auction until it had finished.....not that there were any of us interested. I was alerted to the auction by a phonecall from a Fiat bloke who had a mate in SA interested,by the time I had got onto it it was all over. It was at Lloyds, not the best platform for a Ferrari IMO.
Troy was there and he said it past in but a Gallardo at the next auction went for $110k and was sold .... apparently
Do you have family/friends over there? I've too have thought of whether that's an option.. haven't worked out the logistics though. With respect to duties, do they base it on the value here or price paid (over there)?
I’ve been to few of these auctions. Some bargains to be found. I watched a clean 456 go for $75k last year
